I have one of these being built. SMG is the only barrel place in the US I think for new barrels. Also, its a DP27....there is no DP28. Everyone gets that wrong.

Can you PM me about your experience with SMG? I'd really appreciate it. Also, I am aware that it was adopted in 1927 by the Russians, but for reasons nobody really understands, it is known in the west as a DP28. I'm a westerner. I call it a DP28. Your point is well-taken, but I'm not wrong out of ignorance. I'm wrong because my entire culture is wrong. Ha.

@@Bigbacon Roger. I have a live, original Russian barrel for mine. All set there. Who's doing the build if you don't mind me asking?

Winterbach LLC also makes new barrels for $400, but that was back in August.
