Is there more then one power train unit like some I have seen have a 1.3 & others a 1.5 , apart from the size of the cc in the engine is there any other difference between the two .

Does it get extra miles

I test drove the 1.3 L epower version & was blown away.I’m replacing my Volvo V40 D2. It’s brilliant, it’s 173k SIN dollars

Offer a 'crate motor' version with the eMotor separate from the ICE & battery so that it can be put into a Retro Car

No transmission, one less problem, 65 mpg city driving Good! but Motorway driving you need to keep it to 56 mph to get 52 mpg Don't expect to go green on this one.

i just dont get it - if the motor only acts as a generator - why does it need to be so big and turbo'd ? surely a 350cc engine or less would be more that adequate to act as a generator ?
@andymartinez7672 жыл бұрын
Agree, the motor must be driving a generator to feed into the inverter and or battery, so why not a smaller donkey engine? Unless the generator is pretty big and needs a big motor to get to turning?

Like in a diesel electric locomotive? I presume the combustion engines in those were substantial.

Component Uses: Engine : generator Drive motor: power train/ regenerative braking Battery: extra Power source Long story short, it basically works like a diesel locomotive

You don't get power for nothing, you need a big generator to get the 200bhp of electric power...

You loose energy at every stage of the drive train. So from the engine to the wheels you probably loose 30% energy hence a bigger engine is needed.

Now imagine this with the engine powered by e-fuel😉

Then it’s still a stupid solution regarding total cost of ownership,total energy efficiency and complexity of the system you have to pay for to be maintained.

It’s a tiny battery so you won’t go very far until your battery runs out of juice

No. It runs in fossil fuel so completely pointless.

BIGGER BATTERY + 100CC - 500CC GENERATOR = MORE MILEAGE.

Great design except no plug, too big motor, and 2kwh battery is too small to benefit much in city. Most people in Europe do most of there driving in short city commutes. An extra 10kwh with modern batteries with a plug, and a tiny combustion motor would double the city fuel economy, and have the same luggage volume.

As a big Nissan fan, leaf micra etc .. This has to be a joke .. What are they thinking WoW. The only thing that left forfailure is supercharger. Why not you put one so it could have more breakpoints .. Totally disappointed . And I was thinking to buy one Well maybe next time \_-_-_/
