My sister's Glenn of Amal terrier had been very ill since September watery diarrhea, very swollen stomach extremely depressed and no energy. Obviously she took it to the vet they did some tests said it had holes in its intestine= extremely leaky gut, told to try chicken and rice. The chicken rice diet did nothing to help she went back they wanted to talk her into more expensive tests she already had paid them £1800., nothing more they could do to help and she was old anyway, no hope just keep her comfortable!!! The dog was 12 years old and had her diet had been, crappy canned foods and poisonous kibble (in my opinion). Before this dog got really sick she was in and out of the vets with all sorts of other things allergies itchings and other problems throughout her life. She asked me if I had any suggestions and I told her directly that it was my dog I would immediately putn it on a raw meat diet. I did more research and told her to include green tripe and some organ meat in the right percentages. Today 3 weeks later this is a new dog stomach gone down huge energy no more diarrhoea and running around like a puppy

it is amazing how people eat (nonsense), but think somehow .. it is a recipe for the breakfast of champions. the disconnect is astounding. all these numbers show the opposite. i.e., 20, 40, 60, 88% of mnop mammals seem to have poor health. is (nearly) always linked to junk foods. I have seen bipolar patients eating mince meat tarts before taking their evening meds. because they ‘ need carbs ‘ so their stomach feels okay (pills in an empty gut make most feel gross) i.e., in their mind, the carbs are necessary to have proper absorption of a medication .. that maybe wouldn’t need to be taken at all. if. u. didn’t. eat. #NotFood .. to begin with. sometimes all the smarts in the world. don’t make it possible to climb a mountain .. when your freezer chest has been hijacked by UPF morsels, the deck has been rigged. before you even wake up. hallelujah for talks like this. if your doctor degree doesn’t start with Preventative XYZ. then you won’t have the health (that is inside of all of us). I’ve been a post humanist since way before the term was coined, and always judge a book by the cover .. so really appreciated the final thoughts of this talk. nothing to sell. (but health). .. sigh .. last week I finally found a new dentist. fresh office. but. old ideas. stuck on ‘ making money via fee schedules ‘ .. vs doing what the patient needs. if my father was still alive (he passed at age 92) .. we would of had quite a discussion. I wanted to book 14 dental visits a year, but there is no way to soak the insurance companies to pay for .. in their terms was akin to a non-cleaning. all I wanted is for someone to look at my progress. every dark moon. which is why I rebooked for June 6. this calendar year there are a lucky 13. for some reason I feel calmer. so having a bit of autism and also HSP -that helps reduce anxiety, less bleeding when probing gums, etc. I left .. without getting .. anything done. they wanted to start replacing older dental work, but I refused it until after my birthday. so. will see if they change their mind. maybe. maybe not. so disappointing, for now. but. they are fixated on keeping the lights on. understandable. except. not. (to me) my departed father. would always talk to each patient .. meet their family. if they were the last patient of the day, or the first. it didn’t matter. every person from a toddler to a centenarian .. he listened or talked. until the crickets came out at night (if necessary). the waiting room was booked solid. why was he talking so much. when people had lives to get (back to?) .. well. everyone there. knew. why they were there. to get the best care. not. how quick they could get back to [xyz]. they were there to PREVENT. an issue. before it needed drilling. or. a dreaded needle. money was never part of his MO. results were the goal. he knew times might be lean, but being in Canada meant that hockey (flying sticks. pucks. fists), car accidents, stumbles at work, etc. would end up paying enough bills. gold costs more. but. is the healthiest. plastic composite can’t be seen. but. doesn’t last as long. silver amalgamated was what I mixed up the most. this new dentist. said that all the work from the 1970s. miracles of all miracles .. don’t need to be replaced. so. wow. I haven’t been able to see a competent dentist since my father passed away. nearly six years ago. no time. no money. eat right. be patient. my old man. he didn’t need to grind anyone. for anything. if a patient followed his best practices of the day (1953-1990), a routine visit was a cakewalk. (that term is a little ironic, because they didn’t eat cake). they got the lecture and charts .. of 33% sugars in catsup kinda talk. I suppose I was spoiled by having a father like that. but. we can all learn so much. sharing stories here. very glad to live in Canada tho + being able to logon to talks like this. allergies usually mean the diet of the patient (house pet or sibling) is out of whack. easiest to see. when you eat fresh (never frozen). always run out is my mantra the last few decades. for often .. that resolves so many issues. when ya give your body a break. now you have a control. to check. did that rash subside. or get worse. when u had it again. after a week of not (having it). outdated chocolates actually. showed me the most. how amplified rancid ingredients can be on your bowels, or show in a eczema flair. you don’t need medical treatments. you need fresh. whole. non carb foods + plenty of downtime. peace. from western canada.

More than 2L per day 3. Targeted supplementation. NAC, ALA and loads of Glycine, Zinc picollinate, the Brownstein Iodine protocol. Less than a year later, he is at 90 - 110 glucose. He has no neuropathic symptoms. His muscles are normalizing from atrophy. His sleep is fairly normal, and his energy is good. He has lost enough fat mass such that he is now trimmer than at age 28 ( he is 38 ).

Look up Bart Kay. He feels pretty strongly that you shouldn't do carnivore all at once, and that a slow transition lessens stress, and increases the odds of success. Also, there are many who were low carb and whole food, and due to persistent illness they went 100%. And that worked for them. If you have a serious chronic disease, you should consider 100%

The best theory at this time is that free radical formation from oxidized omega-6 polyunsaturated seed oils incorporated in the cell walls and mitochondrial walls results in insulin receptor and mitochondrial damage. This results in insulin resistance with type II diabetes, endovascular damage with cardiovascular disease, and fermentation metabolism in mitochondria with cancer; the three big killers.

How is one supposed to eat meat with oral problems?

Chicken salad, tuna salad, ground meat, canned sardines, canned cod liver, fish, just off the top of my head. I would put a rib eye in a blender if I had to.

If you have the ability or access to someone who does, pressure canned meat is very soft. My dad doesn't eat carnivore but he has almost no teeth left and he *loves* my pressure canned chicken. I use the chicken legs, skin, bones, everything. The bones become fully edible because they're so soft. Hamburg becomes soft as well.

Excellent talk and thought-provoking as ever. I’m not sure the slide (06:30) is correct regarding historic descriptions of CVD. William Heberden wrote his paper describing classic symptoms of Angina Pectoris and presented it to The Royal College of Physicians in London in the year 1768. This included recorded deaths from M.I in his (small) study group. Prior to that, there are many descriptions of presumed CVD, like “fatty heart” and “boney conversion of Aorta” (upon autopsy) by William Harvey, back in 1616.

I'm curious to know where the HFCS is in Australia's food. I was under the "misconception" perhaps that it was banned here. I've been under impression it's not even in Coke here.

If you're referring to the 3:45 timestamp, I believe each bar in that chart represents an age group, not a time scale. Hence why the first bar (infants) shows much higher deaths in the category including "maternal and perinatal" conditions. So it may be that fewer people live to reach the last 4 categories to begin with.

It got out of hand and now governments and businesses make too much money out of it. Not to mention farm tractor companies, drug companies, billions of dollars a week are spent on pesticides, fungicides and herbicides etc. The money that goes round and is killing the planet is unbelievable. And we're being poisoned by it as long as we're paying for it. The trouble is, now, our animals are fed this junk as well.

I am very curious how many canrivores or keto'ers restrict and regulate their liquid consumption as well? An Aussie or American giving up beer? Wine? Whiskey? Fruit juice? Do people using carnivore as intervention drink only water?
@francescaerreia8859
@francescaerreia8859 7 күн бұрын
Absolutely most do cut out alcohol (that’s the worst) and fruit juice. Some carnivore dieters consume milk but others find dairy to not be good them; that one depends on the person. Water is always good. Many consume electrolytes in their water too.

Maybe you don’t need that much sleep! I sleep 2 hours less a night ever since going carnivore. I also don’t nap any more. Carnivore just seems to make the body more efficient.

Sincere question: scurvy? Is there a risk? Do you take a Vitamin C supplement?
@TazErrant

From all the videos I've watched from Dr Chaffee and other doctors the answer is you don't need supplements. There is vitamin c in meat. You need less vitamin c if you don't eat carbs.

11:15 I don't understand "there are a lot of people having heart attacks in their 30's" when earlier you said that the first recorded incident was in 1912. I must have missed some context around that sentence...
@luvabean
@luvabean 19 күн бұрын
1912=first and it was an anomaly. Now, not only is it common...but it is happening earlier. When I was a kid you only worried about heart attack when you were approaching your sixties.
