@balafama2120 the point is that it is not possible to be qualified in three years after graduating from medical school. You can't even practise as an assistant nurse in the US with a Nigerian medical degree. An US trained surgeon can not lead surgery even after 5 years of graduating from medical school. There are procedures and stages involved.
@balafama21203 ай бұрын
@@olaoluwaadeleke8021As long as she has legitimately graduated from a surgery training program with experience in bbls or a plastic surgery program, she is legally qualified to do them. A surgeon may not have 10 yrs of experience but they are qualified to practice surgery as soon as they are done with school and obtain a practice license.licenses are not awarded based on how many yrs of experience post training,because part of your training is gaining that experience.Stop comparing Nigerian degrees with poor and terrible training with American degrees. Why should you be allowed to practice as a nurse when a Nigerian doctor probably never saw lots of equipments/medications used in America throughout their years of practice?

To be board certified and qualified to perform surgeries like BBL, you need to have done a freaking 5 years surgery residence training, fellowship and sub specialty with a total of about 14 years training. For someone who just graduated in 2015 and had been performing BBL Surgeries as far back as 2017, 2018 is a disaster.

Oh so sad. The difference between plastic and cosmetic surgery is as follows: A plastic surgeon must follow a surgical pathway from residency (straight plastics) or general surgery and subsequently plastics fellowship. A cosmetic surgeon can be any physician including family medicine who receives additional training in cosmetic surgery. The duration can be anywhere from 1-2 years. It is not as intense or rigorous as plastics training. Afterwards though, they can become board certified in cosmetic surgery. This is NOT a board certification in plastic surgery. RIP to this doctor and the patients lost. I don’t know the facts of the case so I hesitate to pass judgement
