IMO we need to get more things into the translation stage now and into trials. The more shots on goal we can get right now, the better the chance of gaining mass support if one of those shots goes in.

I wonder what he thinks of Altos Labs, which Jeff Bezos and others founded recently. Seems to me as if it fits well into damage repair, particularly in regard to the fixing of cell loss via epigenetic cell rejuvenation. They also claimed not to be interested in short therm financial gains but to bring this forward in the long run. Although I had hoped they would be a little more diversified in regard to the other 6 aspects of SENS, but as it is devide and conquer i think that’s fine too, to focus on one aspect only. Of course not all details are public knowledge right know, and who knows, perhaps they expand their portfolio in the future. I think it is definitively a big move forward as it will also attract more attention to the industry as a whole.

Excellent presentation! Important for those of us in the public influence/public policy world to work a strategy to educate and raise the consciousness of influencers and policy makers to incredible potential to convert our current sickcare system into a real healthcare system, and to make living healthy to 150 yrs old a reality through this sort of research. We need, especially, to look at fundamentally changing how the FDA certified proposed treatments.

At around the 10 minute mark he goes into how combining therapies isn't the greatest. It sounds like it would best be avoided, if possible. Then at 11:45 he starts talking about how the foundation is getting into that. So... am I missing something here? He was just talking about how it wasn't ideal. Then he starts saying that's what the foundation is going to be doing. Maybe he left out some kind of smooth segway? You know, something like "But for now it's the best we can do so we must do it". Instead it sounds more like "This is not good and should be avoided, but we're going to be doing it soon."

Sexual harassment. He has been fired since this was recorded. An independent investigation confirmed the allegations.
@maskedbadass6802
@maskedbadass6802 3 жыл бұрын
Another example of false accusation and cancel culture. Simply reading the accusations shows how ridiculous and overdramatic his accusers are being. One of them is literally claiming to have been in tears because he flirted with her at a dinner party. Imagine highlighting the phrase "glorious woman" as if that is somehow the most devastatingly perverse thing to say to a woman and that it gave you panic attacks for years. The only thing he admits to is sending a complimentary email to a woman who is an adult according to UK law. It was so tame that the worst part she could highlight was him saying he's had "an adventurous love life" but he felt uncomfortable talking with her about it because she was young. If anything it sounds like he was just saying how awkward love can be to talk about. The "independent" report was paid for by the same people who fired Aubrey before even getting results back. The report doesn't even get it's dates correct, which begs the question of how many other errors were made. The investigator admits it's all opinion-based because they assume the first accusation is accurate while the woman is changing her story and admitting she's doesn't know what he said. Plus, these ancient events are suddenly brought up and used to boot Audrey right after a huge donation came in.
@joech1065
@joech1065 3 жыл бұрын
Politics. SENS has received a huge donation. Aubrey did some personel changes, to boot Aubrey they could not find any better method than good old method of trying to force a scandal and then booting him using this as an excuse. In the 21st century, the easiest method is trying to metoo, which is very convenient as you don't need any legal proof and basically anything can be scandalized. It is quite sad that science and research has politics in it, but that's where we are. (Afterwards, many women scientists came out to protect Aubrey's reputation, but as those things go, it doesn't matter because it's not like this is a court of law.)

@@georgefairweather1990 no, an independent investigation confirmed some of the less serious allegations. The serious ones were not proven and nor has this gone to a court of law.

@@maskedbadass6802 The ironic thing is that one of the women accusing him has been accused of inappropriate sexual relations with dogs which might very well be true because she has backed up multiple companies for life extension in dogs, constantly interacts with dogs and described herself as a "huge animal person", yet the allegations against her weren't taken seriously and only those against Aubrey (which were relatively trivial) were taken seriously because he is male.

@@georgefairweather1990 There was no sexual harassment by Aubrey. There were two inexperienced girls predated on by a competitor to Aubrey.
