Dr. Barbara O'Neill Reveals CAYENNE PEPPER’s Shocking Secrets That Seem Illegal to Know!
Cayenne pepper, derived from the dried and ground fruit of the Capsicum annuum plant, is often used in powdered form as a spice in cooking, but it can also be consumed as a supplement in capsules, tinctures, or teas. Its uses extend far beyond the kitchen, with a long history of therapeutic applications in traditional medicine. According to Dr. Barbara O'Neill, cayenne pepper is one of the most powerful natural remedies available and can be a valuable tool in maintaining and improving health.
Dr. Barbara O'Neill, a well-known health educator, and naturopath, has shed light on some surprising and seemingly “illegal to know” secrets about cayenne pepper that could transform your approach to health and wellness.
In today's video, we will explore the powerful benefits of cayenne pepper as revealed by Dr. Barbara O'Neill.
While cayenne pepper offers an array of impressive health benefits, Dr. Barbara O'Neill cautions against overuse. She emphasizes that cayenne pepper is safe to use in moderate amounts, but like any potent remedy, it should not be abused. Consuming too much cayenne pepper can lead to digestive discomfort, irritation of the mucous membranes, and in rare cases, more serious health issues.
Dr. Barbara O'Neill advises starting with small amounts of cayenne pepper and gradually increasing the dose as your body becomes accustomed to it. For those who are new to using cayenne pepper as a supplement, she suggests beginning with just a pinch in water or food and slowly working up to a half or full teaspoon.

I was on a road trip years ago when I sprinkled cayenne on my food, outdoors. A wind blew the cayenne into my eyes and at first I panicked. Then I remembered an eye remedy by Dr. Christopher, I believe it was, that contained cayenne. I relaxed and the cayenne just naturally washed out of my eyes. I too have long been fond of it as a flavoring but for some reason began using back pepper instead. Now, after hearing Barbara O'Neill's information, I am enjoying it on EVERYTHING.

I was told to take it (Cayenne Pepper) with 100% cocoa (like Hershey's). I add about 1/4 teaspoon to 2 rounded teaspoons of cocoa and then after the hot water is stirred in add in a little raw, unfiltered honey. Tastes great! (The cocoa has some flavonoids that are supposed to be good for your blood circulation.)

There was a book out about a first person account by a man who had a very weak heart. His prognosis was grim. He started taking cayenne pepper and eventually other peppers, to strengthen his heart. He went from near invalid to doing amazing physically demanding work in a short time. He actually started making his own pepper supplement line. He lived for many years past what the doctors had given him, in robust health, with a strong heart. It's called "Left for Dead" by Dick Quinn. There are many other books available on this subject.

Salt? & you had a heart attck? & your doctor's didn't tell you to lay off the salt? No, *salt is not good for your heart* because too much salt can increase your risk of heart attack and stroke. Consuming too much salt can cause fluid retention, which can increase blood pressure. High blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart attack and stroke.

I took 5-7 capsules of cayenne pepper one morning (in my twenties) with water on an empty stomach. Then I got in the car and as I was driving down the highway I felt like I was having a heart attack (or something like it). My body was in panic mode. After some time -- maybe 20-30 (after I pulled over) it calmed down. Then I remembered I had taken that cayenne on an empty stomach.

I have heard of that remedy for ulcers, but capcicum is found in most fruit chilli peppers, not in actual spice pepper though...also I don't think it affects the ligning, just irritates the ulcer wound, if you ever handle chile with a cut on the fingers it stings just like citrus, but it does have soothing properties after the burn sensation.

“Cayenne pepper is not chili” is wrong. Cayenne and all other chili peppers are nightshades belonging to the genus capsicum , Solanacease family (not chili family) which makes cayenne pepper a chili pepper, sharing all the same benefits whether in powder or hot sauce forms. No, I’m not a doctor. Just a super hot pepper lover.

It's true, there is no upper limit in your drinks. I have been loading up on it. Begin with a half gallon of Water. Remove one cup of water (why? so there's enough room in the container!) Add a cup of white grape juice. Squeeze half a lemon in there. Add a teaspoon of salt, a pinch of baking soda, and as much Cayenne Pepper as you would like to enjoy. The taste is best enjoyed cold. I like to squeeze a bit of raw honey into my cup when I have only apple juice instead of the white grape juice. Pear juice could work; pear juice heals to cool rising heat (if you're into Chinese medicine or menopause 😉)

Did you get an answer? How often does one take the cayenne amount with water. I got start small, work up to, but how often per day, and for how long?

I love hot stuff! Specifically I'm a habanero guy. Every day 3 - 6 habbies in some sort of dietary fashion, fresh, most often dried or in sauces/salsas since my late teens. I successfully deferred my first colonoscopy until I was 60. My results came back, in the Dr.'s words, "squeaky clean, not even a polyp, certainly nothing to merit a biopsy". I mentioned my hot pepper consumption and he basically poo-pooed (no pun intended) any connection. Coming up on my next one in a couple months, 10 years later. I guess we'll see... Still on hot peppers, daily regularity, no stomach/gastral issues or other worries.

If you're going to recommend taking a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, you need to tell us what heat level. There is 30, 60, and 90. 1 tsp of 90 is enough to knock someone out cold.

At approx 5:00 Barbara O’Neill says a medicinal amount is about a quarter (1/4) of a teaspoon - not a whole teaspoon as captioned in the video (although I’m sure there’s some tough cookies out there who can handle more 😉 !).

She is correct, make changes and do for at least 90 days. It you took you years to get to this place with your health, it is not going to change in a day or a week.

Lol I was making a fresh batch when I started watching this. I buy 100,000 heat cayenne and encapsulate 100 'OO' caps. I take one cap with each meal. Will burn your stomach otherwise...unless you are in the middle of a heart attack then you don't feel any heat. I have used several times and avoided the ER trip. I also keep in my car and food pantry a small bowl of cayenne to stop bleeding. 10-15 years ago I almost cut off the tip of my right index finder in the kitchen. Stuck my finger in the bowl and drove to an outpatient clinic where they sutured by finger back together. I recall decades ago about a standoff in ID where the FBI shot a person in the stomach but the standoff lasted several more days. Some one called the cabin and asked about the victim and it was stated that they had packed his wound with cayenne and stopped the bleeding. He survived and was operated on several days later. Many of the old Naturopaths in America have stories of stopping heart attacks in progress. Dr John Christopher and his line of herbal medicines is one and one of his student Dr Schultz, aka, the Cayenne Doctor, is another. PS-You need to use the cayenne with the most heat rating you can fine and tolerate. Cool cayenne does not do the job as well. Just like with Niacin you need the flush to do the job. Fortunately you can build up a tolerance.
