leasing is not inherently a bad thing if you want new cars often... you do have to understand that it is an expensive habit. As long as you know it and you still want to spend your money this way then absolutely no issues. However, when people say leasing is a waste of money it's because people lease a car then drive it a ton of miles in excess of their lease and then buy it from the leasing company afterwards - so it makes no sense to lease a car that you intend to eventually purchase anyway.

What people don't understand is that a car is a luxury item so pumping huge amounts of money in them is nonsensical regardless whether your buying or leasing. Leasing is always lost money. If ur okay with paying somebody else to have pleasure, then leasing is okay. It's always better to be the lessor than the lessee. Leasing a car vs a home is a totally different thing. To own a home is 10 times better. a car on the other hand it depends.cars lose most of its value at some point. Homes keep equity and can go up or down in value but still retain value. I paid on house for 15 years and now I'm sitting on 200k in equity and no more payments. Plus my wife has a home worth more that was passed down from family. Another benefit of owning. You can give it to your kids when you retire or die or whatever the case. Or when the market goes up you can cash out and go to Vegas! I strongly disagree about leasing a home. A car in the other hand I can see why one would lease. I bought I A Honda Accord New off the lot in 2000 and I am still driving it today. Cost me 23k cash. It's been 15 years had I been leasing cars u would have easily spent over 50,000 Just on regular type cars. Now for luxury cars and exotics which is what vlad drives probably then yeah probably better lease cause I'd put 200k on a house over a car any day

djwarzone1 But home values are volatile, and mortgages fluctuate depending on interest rates. If interest rates go up, so does your mortgage. Homeownership should only be seen as an utility, not an investment.
@dancgreen29 жыл бұрын
Sorry man you are very uninformed...most people have fixed rate mortgages so the rate is locked in until the loan is repaid..only in adjustable rate mortgages will your payment rise if rates rise but even those are fixes for a period of 3,5,or 7 years then they adjust...
@djwarzone19 жыл бұрын
dancgreen2 thank you, i didnt even want to answer that considering i am a mortsge professional myself. Thats how i paid my home in 15 years cause it was fixed. And i paid additional principal to payoff early and pay less interest. The interest i did pay was tax deductible as well as my proprty tax.

Leasing is for clowns........let's break this down.....cars a bad investment, but let see who comes out on top... Tony leases a 2010 escalade for $500 a month Frank bought a 2010 escalade & his payments are $500 In 4 years, Tony may switch it up & have different cars, but he'll end up paying $24k for something he doesn't own.... In 4 years, Frank will have paid $24k and his car will be paid off....he can now sell that car for cash, trade it in, etc etc....

leasing a car is the way to go. by the time five or six years is up and the car is paid off, its just about ready to break down in most cases. an eight year old car that is still in good condition and operational, is an aberration
@conservakid858 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. A lot of it depends on your driving habits and how much you drive. I only put about 9K miles a year on my truck. If I bought a new vehicle I would only have a bit over 50K miles on the odometer in 6 years. That car shouldn't be ready to break down. Even when I would have to start putting some money into repairs that amount on an annual basis is not going to cost anywhere near what the average person will pay in year to lease. Also if you need a 60+ month financing terms to be able to afford to buy then you are shopping for a car out of your price range. Realistically you should finance no more than 48 months, ideally 24 or 36 months.

Paying cash for $200,000 2018 Ferrari such a bad investment. Paying $30,000 cash for 2001 Bentley with 40,000 miles bad investment. Paying cash for any Bentley my opinion is such a bad investment for so many reasons. Paying 1to 3 million cash for any Bugatti is beyond a bad investment for so many reasons I don't have time to explain. Paying $100,000 cash for 2017/2018 Mercedes with low mileage is a bad investment, Mercedes depreciates more by year than any other vehicle. Paying $3,000 cash for 2001 Toyota Corolla with 90,000 miles is not a bad investment. If it's a standard shift transmission it's even a better investment for u. Paying $3,000 -4,000 cash for 2003/2004 Honda Civic with standard shift transmission with 90,000 miles is not a bad investment. If it's a manual shift transmission for the same price ask more questions before u purchase it regarding the history of the transmission. Paying $40,000 -50,000 cash for a new Dodge Hellcat with the 6.8 engine my opinion is not a bad investment. It's regarded as the most well developed engine of it's time and they will be the most popular classic car to search for when they are no longer in production. The Dodge Demon will also be a classic sports car years to come but it cost close to $100 grand. My opinion I don't recommend paying $100 grand cash for any vehicle. 100 grand for any vehicle.

Yung DreGo It was a poor joke but I will admit I'm not a fan of Dr Watkins. In my humble opinion he tells half truths. Blacks NEED to own their own communities. Not for wealth building but primarily for protection and self improvement of our race. We are not at the level of others economically (just yet). Blacks are taxed/priced out of their homes and neighborhoods due to the fact that we tend to rent and not buy/maintain our own communities. Baltimore, Ferguson and other poor victimized communities all have the same economic similarities which Dr Watkins doesn't preach against. Only on a personal level but never in a "group" economic concept.
