No one wants to hear bad news about their health, or have a doctor tell you all you’re doing it “wrong.” It’s discouraging, but that’s why it’s so important to find a compassionate provider -one who is willing to work with you and support you on your journey.
That’s also why Dr. Columbus Batiste is so amazing in the world of Interventional Cardiology. As a “plumber of the heart,” (as he affectionately refers to himself), Dr. Batiste naturally treats disease with medicine and surgical interventions, but he also works with his patients from a mental and emotional standpoint-emphasizing nutrition, stress reduction, and overall well-being.
He also teaches his patients to become SELFISH with their health. Say what? I thought we were told not to be selfish! Well, when it comes to your heart health, you can’t afford NOT to be, but becoming SELFISH doesn't mean what you think.
I hope you enjoy this peek into the Doctor’s exam room with Dr. Batiste. Thanks for listening, recommending, and sharing this show with loved ones. And please be sure to subscribe to the podcast.

Love this interview! I've been WFPB vegan for almost nine years and my sisters claim I got the "good genes" in the family. You can't make anyone change their health. One sister swears by bone broth. Another sister knows that if she doesn't drink 1 cup of milk daily, her bones will crumble (retired nurse). I'll be 70 years old next March and am planning to run my first marathon at the end of 2022. Eat WFPB an live longer, happier and healthier. Janet

Rip!!!! Oh My! - I was so sorry to hear about your siblings! To think that people could be so closely related to both your father and yourself... to have such immediate access to two of the biggest luminaries in the world of plant based health, yet to not take advantage of it! I am so sorry, truly!

Excellent "SELFISH" interview! Yes all physician bonuses need to be based on keeping clients healthy! That would change the Healthcare paradigm quickly to WFPB! Happy Healthspan to Dr. Batiste! ❤👍 - 🥦🍊🍍🍇🧄🥬🫑🍒🍉
