It is so important to know about calorie density and more. This stuff wasn't taught, and when you don't know, you don't know. Very much inspiring. I'm 65 . I need to lose 12 to 15 lbs. I was 170. I became vegan 90 percent of the time and I don't eat clean BUT I WANT TO. My husband wants nothing to do with it. So I'm surrounded by the wrong foods. But meat and dairy does not entice me at all. I have your cookbook Chef AJ. I need to start using it

Well I am just 66, my husband also wants nothing to do with this… I lost30 lbs last yr eating well salads and proteins and got LPR and now am 33lbs heavier again. So need to lose 30 to 35 lbs… I can do it for so long then bang… off I am eating sweets. Chips salty aren’t my thing, no dairy very minimal meat but it’s cookies and muffins. Sigh..

It is amazing how many calories oil adds to our daily intake. Removing oil (nuts and avocado) is what made the difference for me. Once I eliminated cooking with oil and high fat food, it impacted not just my weight but lowered my high cholesterol. I hope to bring back nuts occassionally in sauces but I can't eat them by the handful.

Hi Cindy, The ketchup is in Chef AJ's Secrets to Ultimate Weight loss and my spouse swears it tastes just like the ketchup he loves!!! Its balsamic vinegar, tomato paste, onion flakes, allspice and lemon juice! I don't do miracle whip! I do make my own mustard! I can demonstrate both the ketchup and mustard on my channel. Good idea! @@jgrysiak6566 I struggle with fatty and salty foods. Potato chips (crisps), French fries, Burgers, Pizza are my drugs. Not so much the sweet foods. I'm vegetarian but not vegan yet. @Weißer Wolf , well u can make FF French fries in an air fryer. U must go through the fat withdrawal. It's 21 days of no meaty, cheesy, greasy. Grease & fat is a drug & stimulates dopamine. It's not easy but once u go through it u won't crave fat & grease any longer. U must do the work. I ate lots of canned beans & fruit in my fat withdrawal.

An avocado tree and nut tree will be sprouting soon from my ears. I have a mini Amazon pantry. This week I started eating low sodium cheese and added quinoa to my repertoire. However, since quinoa is extremely high in carbs, I bounced on the trampoline for 25 minutes to prevent a high spike in my glucose. Not a pleasant job. Thanks anyway.
