It's a very bad look on the Doc. Once you find out someone is a minor, you walk away. Everyone is backing away from him and I totally get that. But there is a thing called due process. I hope they release everything and then an uprising can begin.

In regards to the Gaza Biden thing, Trump really would be no better. He said a couple months ago that Israel must "finish what it started" in regards to the war in Gaza. Kevin is right. One of these two men will be president.
@WaffleOnTheRun6 ай бұрын
Trump would be much worse, he formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which was arguably a contributing factor to risings tensions. One of Palestine's request is to split Jerusalem so it can be both Jerusalem and Palestine's capital and there is no way Israel will agree with that now especially if they have the support of the US behind them which will extend the conflict even more.
@byers313036 ай бұрын

Now that Doc has issued a statement on Twitter (just 30minutes ago), he's admitted to crossing lines with inappropriate messaging with a minor. Let's collectively ask THIS MAJOR QUESTION: What's Twitch's role and responsibility in all of this? They settled this "dispute" with Doc out of the spotlight and kept this all under wraps for 4 years now. Are we just going to wipe our hands and say it's over and done with? Is there any responsibility on Twitch's end for this? I understand there's real concerns surrounding the potential of giving out a minors information to the dregs of the internet, but it seems like there was a way for Twitch to both conceal that persons identity while issuing a statement on what Doc was doing in their "whisper chat". It feels all too concerning that Twitch would let this go on for 4 years. I get corporations concerns over their brands reputation taking a hit from a major member of their platform at the time being caught up in this, but to not disclose their severing of their partnership over such a disgusting problem to save their image only amplifies the issue. Will their be accountability and if so what should it be? People should really hold the companies feet to the fire as well.

There’s no denying that.

Colin runs by his own ethical framework and despite everything, he's gonna view himself as "cancelled" even when he chooses not to get review copies and what not. I won't ever understand unless I get crapped on by a massive Twitter mob and have my existence banned on Resetera (some of the stuff y'all say is at the very least unreasonable and at worst just straight up bigoted in its own way). So I give him grace on this. I'm still an LSM sub and I think they do great work. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed, I never even met the individual. I went through a lengthy arbitration regarding a civil dispute with twitch and that case was resolved by a settlement. Let me be clear, it was not a criminal case against me and no criminal charges have ever been brought against me.”

My question is how does something he did or said "lean" inappropriate with a minor? What does that mean? Being vaguely sexual? I don't think he would have gotten in trouble for using some cuss words or something. He should have just gone the whole 100 yards and admitted that engaging a minor wasn't just stupid; if he has to couch what happened in terms of "leaning inappropriate," the whole situation was almost certainly inappropriate.

"Johnny Depp to remain the face of Dior Sauvage in new $20 million deal". Umm, I don't think he lost much? And wasn't he just in the film Jeanne du Barry last year? I don't hate Depp at all, just saying that this isn't the best example...

listening to this back... it leaves a slight bad taste in my mouth ... the fact you guys bang the drum about studio closures etc... and seem to just laugh around the fact that midnight society will not exist is a few years (which will lead to people losing jobs) and the game wont ever be as good as COD without known anything about the game...
