The song I think you're thinking of is Regulate by Warren G and Nate Dogg. One part of the lyric Nate Dogg sings, "Would you Let Me Ride?" And of course they were part of Death Row records so it was all in the family.

That part wasn’t a diss. He is speaking about cruising and hanging out on Crenshaw and when you pull up on the wall (the hangout) dudes flock to the car because he got beat in, and just let them hang. If on the Shaw on Sunday’s it’s a hangout for all the lowriders and and fancy cars. Now they did diss Cube on Dre Day. It was written before they got cool again, because right after The Chronic blew up Cube & Dre did “Natural Born Killers”
