Klarion is so underrated, like he's super powerful and has absolutely no moral compass. He doesn't care about taking over the world or fighting for a cause, he just wants to watch the world burn. People just dismiss him because of his childish attitude, but I think that just makes him a more interesting villain. Hope we see more of him in season 3.

I've seen characters like that, and people are able to take them seriously. I think the difference is that Klarion doesn't come across as intimidating compared to some other villains. He doesn't have that "crazy fun" type of personality where his childish behavior is endearing and entertaining to watch. However that might just make him look like a magical Joker, but less insane and more childish.

Dr. Fate/Nabu was really a grey area in this version given that yes he is an awesome hero but you cant ignore that fact that he takes over a person's body and will not release them effectively stealing their lives for his own use.

MrThejayvion Yeah, I think I remember Hector Hall (the 5th Doctor Fate, or 6th if you count Eric and Linda Strauss separately) actually fought and defeated Nabu within the helmet and was able to keep control. Would be cool to see something like that in S3 or any DC property outside of comics.

I kinda liked that about this portrayal. They really drove home the point that Nabu is NOT a nice dude. He's a Lord of Order, and if a few small, mortal lives need to be manipulated for the greater good, then so be it.

galslovveme He takes over the body but if the body is bad with magic, his own weakens whereas if the have affinity with magic, it makes things easier on him; he does not gain any new abilities from the host (at least thus far in the series). It's like a modulator, there is a compatibility issue but the new information overwrites the old so it doesn't gain any new abilities, only its own.

Klarion was such a fantastic villain. Stole the scene every time he was in it. The moral ambiguity of Fate is also awesome. He is Order incarnate so he works with the heroes often but they are just being used for his purpose which is not intrinsically the greater good they are working for

He was so spoiled and pouty I found it entertaining and kind of cute (in a angry little kid way) I was really looking forward to seeing him in season 2 but he barely did anything and that disappointed me. Something I find interesting in this version of Dr. Fate is that his power level seems to be somewhat linked to his host. Meaning that while Nabuu will take anyone, he does have a sort of list of preferences that directly affect his ability to perform as Dr. Fate. In this fight he was at his weakest because of Kid Flash's low affinity for the "mystic arts". -Second time around he was stronger because of Aqualads training in atlantian magic. -In his third outing in season one he was only slytly weaker because of the helmet of fate being split along with the dimension, but he considered both Zatanna and Zatara perfect hosts because of their HUGE affinity with magic.( and in season 2 a Fate possessed Zatara deflected a country wide beam that according to the beam emitters owner would have destroyed the entire Earth in a matter of minutes).

I think a interesting aspect of this is how easily you can hear the voice of the person he’s controlling. You can very clearly hear Kid Flash when Fate speaks, but can barely hear Zatara when he’s speaks as Fate.

I know it's nothing major, but I like how Klarion uses 3 different ways to essentially teleport around. He disintegrate, hops through a portal, and then turns into... strands? orbs? at the end. It's just something we don't always see when it comes to magic users and fights. Sure they have a signature "spell" but these 2 also throw in some different ones as well.

Harley Quinn actually if u see the comics and in my dc encyclopedia its there that nabu is omniscient and the strongest sorcerer/source of magic in the dc Universe. So, I had this surreal incident a few weeks back were I had a very strange flight attendant. He sounded just like Klarion. He even said something to the effect of "Better put your seat backs up or else bad things may happen". It was super odd hearing basically Klarion explain the whole air plane safety speal in that sassy whispy way he always talks. Nobody else was taken aback by this except me. I had Klarion screw with me on a flight from Utah, during a thunderstorm no less. If anyone else has had this same flight attendant, please let me know. Also, wouldn't it be hilarious if he did a stint as a flight attendant in our world to learn some weird garbled airplane magic nobody but the ancients knows about? Like, the Wright Brothers consulted the Old Ones to make a fucking air craft and there's something hidden in that before flight safety speech and he's just trying to figure it out. That's what it felt like at least.
