I love Ian Dunbar. He is so effective in teaching people to teach their dogs.

It's just about making the dog think people are ace, this is one way, there are others. Each dog needs to be considered as an individual and use the most apropriate method. Ian Dunbar is a great trainer because he uses positive methods and he seems good with people too. I'm picking up a lot of tips from his videos.

Thank you for the video, great Ideas. I will try this technique with my dog. He is fearful of strangers and barks at them, I think these tips will help him (and us as a family).

Great video the way my pup acts towards people no one in their right mind would ever agree to feed her she is very fearful and very unsocialized by the time we got her at 5 months old.

I found this very useful and I absolutely agree with everything he said. I hand feed my dog and I always make him work for it. Even though he is still 3 months old. He is very fearful of people, doesnt like it when they come close and look at him. The thing is it is so hard for me to take food with me on our wolks because I feed raw meat....how in earth can I feed raw meat on the street???? and what stranger is going to accept to handle raw meat and give it to my dog at the dog park??? noone :(((((

He's assuming that most people in NAm feed kibble, which most do. The rest of us know that real meat, even cooked, is superior to kibble as a treat as it has higher value, no additives and is easier to digest.

Yes, I agree. But it sounds like "you have to withhold daily food", which I don´t like. Better would be, you need to reduce daily food, if you use treats. I don´t agree with an "Addict to the leader" - concept.

But I don´t agree, kibble isn´t a healthy food at all, right? There are many healthy treets, that aren´t salty or with sugar. My dog wouldn´t respect kibble at all.

My dog bark and growl at other dogs cause she is unsure.

and, I also don´t think, that´s not a good way to counterconditioning dogs, that they would be fed by unknown persons. Better would be, they would play the "Look at that" game with their owner, so they play the game together, not bothering in an unlucky way about unknown persons.
