Dr. John was a good friend of Duane Allman's, and was at his funeral in Macon GA in late 1971. Also Dr. John appeared on Gregg Allman's great DVD 'All My Friends' from 2012. Mac was one of the all time greats!

I had the honor of seeing Dr. John perform at the Jefferson Center. in Roanoke, Va around the same time as this show.; great show! He can still play blues and boogie-woogie piano as well as anybody. The lady that played horn played at the show I saw with a medical boot halfway up her leg, and she was great there too. I was just aware of Dr. John when I saw The Last Waltz in 1978. I'm so grateful to the producers of that movie; I discovered so much great music and artists like Dr. John.

Drove up from Eugene to see the Dr. John and the Nite Trippers. Have not see him in a full concert although I have been a fan since the 70's. I've seen him do a few songs at fest. In any event I loved the concert and all the members!! Thank you.
