I was diagnosed with diabetes last October (no symptoms until my blood work). I knew it was creeping up, so I cut out some things (not enough). My A1c was 6.2 and 18 months later it skyrocketed to 9.3. My doctor scared me by saying when my dad dropped dead at 53, he was probably an undiagnosed diabetic. I went on 3 meds. Boo! October 28-9.3 A1c November 14-7.7 A1c December 14-5.8 A1c March 7-5.6 A1c The doctor was shocked at how quickly it went down, but I told her I was determined. I went Ketovore immediately. She took me off one medication after 3 weeks. She would like me to still be on Metformin but I took myself off everything and keep walking toward meat and fat. My doctor's comment was, "You fixed yourself. " I am thankful, plus I have lost 37 pounds.

Thank you for your comment. That gives me hope! 2 months ago mine was 6.3. It shocked me so much I went straight to meat knowing I felt better and put away my bread making equipment. I naturally went into carnivore ish. I use herbs. I’m waiting a month to see where the A1C is now. Oh and I followed some of my doctors advice. Not the lean meat one and veggies.

You've done really well. Q: Are you a stress eater? I learned that stress produces the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline (the body does this to keep us safe - fight / flight) and that uses up the ready access glucose in the blood stream and can result in the craving for sugar/carbs to replenish it quickly. Once I learned this I found that when this happened to me I ended up add more stress to myself because I was annoyed with myself for not being able to control my eating and not knowing why. Now when I get stress I understand what is happened and am better able to work with/around it.

I am running late but I had to pop in here to say thank you. I finally had my annual wellness exam after 2 and a half years. I don't really like doctors. So I went in there ready to go to battle with my doctor about my keto lifestyle. But as it turns out, my A1C is down, my LDL is down, my HDL is up, my BP is down, my kidney and liver is awesome, and my hemochromatosis is completely gone. Needless to say, she did not mention a word about my keto lifestyle don't you love it when the good guys win?! 😅

8+ months here on carnivore. Lost a total of 31lbs within the first 5 months with moderate exercise. I went from 196lbs, to 165lbs and now I'm shredded like I was in my early 20's - 6pack abs and all. I can't image living any other way now. The energy, mental clarity, sound sleeps, the perfect digestion, lack of joint pain, youthful skin has changed everything!! . But I gotta say, out of all the amazing benefits - digestion is the #1 reason I won't drop this diet/lifestyle anytime soon and why I truly believe this is the proper human diet. No more gas - like none!! It's the craziest thing. No more stomach bubbles or urges to go. I can't speak on this enough. I was on keto for years and thought life was good, carnivore has been the ultimate game changer for me. I really appreciate Dr. Berry and the rest of the carnivore / Keto community. Daily videos constantly keeps me in the loop to learn more and also provide info/advice to whoever needs. Cheers to you all!

I have/had a favorite channel on YT, nothing to do with food!. For the first time i commented on someone that she should educated herself about the carnivore diet because she was trashing meat and how bad it is for your health . Guess what; 5min later ALL MY comments were removed! I'm still upset lol I was disabled for 30yrs, had a muscle disseas and walked in a legbrase and with crutches. (i was hit by a horse, and they made a mistake in the hospital) Started carnivore 3yrs ago. 2yrs ago i threw my cruthes away and last year my leg brase. Now i walk every morning 2 miles, enjoying Every step! I'm stronger then ever. Feeling better then ever, and Very Grateful for this second change in life! Greetings from The Netherlands. The longer I eat this way, the more testimonies I hear about issues being resolved, the more I am convinced that those who refuse to try this, despite the obvious plethora of benefits, get something out of staying sick. Today, I feel angry about it. I think people do enjoy the social aspect of having the problems other people have and conversing about their list of ills. There is a camaraderie in "knowing" there's nothing they can do about it and suffering together for as long as they survive. Personally, I'm tired of having anything negative to speak of in regard to myself. I want to be able to say, "I feel amazing! I'm doing great!", when someone asks. This is especially difficult with family. I know this will help, but will they listen...? I will have to ponder how to approach this topic with others so as to have empathy for their suffering and not pester them if they don't consider eating as a carnivore.

Thank you so much for your videos. Im 70 and in the past, I've done ketovore for over a year, but went back to standard American diet. I've done carnivore for 6 to 8 days at a time, but i cannot afford quality steak, barely afford chuck roast occasionally and I get very tired of boring, tough meat, which is what is available around here. I get tired of eggs, even great quality bacon. The cool thing is carnivore diet zaps my appetite for carbs, but also for carnivore foods! I know I just have to get over the idea that food should be enjoyable, but burgers, roast, chewy steaks, bacon, all just get too unappealing. I'm Trying to get around this the best I can. Laura Spaeth had a good video short saying serving 2 or 3 foods at a meal helps boredom.

I reversed a severe hypoglycemia issue that I had 30+ years ago with proper diet. I used to black out behind the steering wheel. I blacked out at home and knocked a tooth out. As a result of the lack of glucose, a brain imbalance developed. It took some time, but I am doing great now. I am a health nut. I am a runner, a walker and eat really clean. Grassfed meats and a ton of organic veggies including a lot of organic beans and organic raw root veggies. I cut up and dip the raw root veggies in avocado oil mayonnaise. I do intermittent fasting, eat two meals a day and usually no snacks. I look great for 61. Most people would never guess that I am as old as I am and I am almost never sick.

The reason it's called an egg fast or a sardine fast is because it's temporary just like a regular fast, akin to a water fast. You only do it for like three days or for a week for example. It's not an egg diet or a sardine diet because it isn't permanent. Your beef, butter, bacon, and egg diet is a diet because it isn't a temporary thing.

Q-Hi Dr. Berry, I'm 70 yrs old and had gastric sleeve 9 yrs ago. I never reached my goal of 160 from 250 but did make it to 175 and that's where I am now. I started carnivore last week but having a problem eating more than about 50 g of protein a day and rarely over 1000 calories. Do you have any suggestions to get my protein up or do I even need to? I really love listening to your videos, thank you!

I'm about 2 months also and have dropped 28lbs so far. You said you're struggling to eat a pound of meat a day but I don't weigh out my food, I just make a bunch and eat to satiety. I think maybe look at it more if you stall in your weight loss otherwise just eat until you're comfortably full

Hey I just need to thankyou for all you do. Plus the chat on histamines is well timed for me. I have not suffered from hives in about 16 years. I am currently going though a bit of a spell. I am taking antihistamines now for 3 days and even then the hives have only nearly gone away completely. I am assuming this is candida dieing (found out about this via reddit) or oxilate dumping. Still, I feel good so i will continue pushing though. We shall see how long it lasts.

Aw yeah, takes time depending how messed up you are. I ate all that "healthy stuff" in mass over years and I am still having some small issues 4 months into carnivore. But it gets better everyday!

Your opinion about high dosing vitamin C which are high in Oxalates for years playing a roll in my Thyroid Peroxidase being high in ‘23-397 in ‘22-357. Had Ultrasound May 6 2024- 2 left nodules on thyroid. All other thyroid metrics good. I have no Hashimoto symptoms. Also your thoughts in Oxalate dumping per Sally K Norton?

I was encouraged to use Redmond salt from all the speakers that I listen to. I did not know it does not have iodine in it. It says it on the front of the package, but I never thought of salt not having iodine. I ran into some health issues we figured out that I didn’t have enough iodine in my body so I would just like to have people to be aware if you’re gonna do Redmond, you better do it assault along with it that has iodine, lack of iodine can affect your brain

Im trying to stay on carnivore, but i keep slipping off! Bagels, doughnuts, fruits, snacks : all this stuff is swrved at work, and temptation is so high. Way too often i find myself eating some of it. Not much, maybe 1/4 of a bagel.. but i absolutely can't control myself. Who has the same problem? What do you do?

Husband still eats garlic toast with melted butter once a week and the crunch triggers me. I eat pork rinds for the crunch and it's just as satisfying, but i'm having trouble finding them fried in lard/baked and not fried in veggie oil.

Hi Doctor Berry!❤ I live in Vancouver Island, Canada. I started with keto and transitioned to carnivore and worked very well. Suddenly I started gaining weight and became anxious and depressed. Also high blood pressure. I got meds for those 2 and felt less depressed but a bit numb. 2 years after I have gained 40 pounds and always tired, so not as active before. My blood work shows I am normal and the Canadian doctors don’t know what is wrong with me. I kn😢ow something is really wrong. Also have a swollen lymph node on the side of my neck. I think it’s related to. Waited 3 months for an ultrasound which was inconclusive, now waiting for a date for a ct scan. What’s your opinion?

QUESTION: I had Ovarian...stage 1...complete hysterectomy February 26,2024, Cancer free...a relative said I should be on a different diet. Started Carnivore diet 4/15/2024. I feel great, lost 37 pounds as of today. Blood work was better than 2023...If I have Immune therapy (no chemo). Will they have me change from Carnivore?
