What's with the weird captions that have nothing to do with Justin's dilemma, like "Peach trees can produce fruit for about 12 years" and "Studies show that in the days leading up to a full moon, people go to bed later and sleep for shorter periods...", to mention just two? I found these strange, and they distracted from the otherwise interesting case.

The pop ups are annoying. They are repeats of what Dr. Lee or the patient had just said seconds before. You can't read the pop ups and listen to what Dr. Lee & the patient are saying at the same time. The pop ups aren't necessary. If you listen to the audio, you get the pop up info. So why repeat it in the pop up? If they want to use the pop ups, they should do it at the end, as the patient is leaving Dr. Lee's office.

Why do these text bubbles appear? They don’t even make sense. His daughter’s name is Ella, so then there is a bubble with text about Ella Fitzgerald who was a popular singer in the ‘50s and ‘60s. What does that have to do with this? We aren’t morons. As soon as I saw these stupid texts, I stopped the video. I won’t waste my time viewing something that is patronizing.

I suffered for years from sporadic outbreaks of these little sore bumps on my head. I discovered through trial and error that eating too many sweets in general and specifically certain candy like Lifesavers, skittles, jellybeans even cough drops if I use them for any length of time will cause one or more of the lesions on my head. Mine have never caused the type of pain he talked about, but they can be quite sore to the touch. I've experienced very little if any permanent hair loss. I hardly touch any kind of a sweet treat anymore. Occasionally I still get a sore bump but they seem to be easily treatable with a over the counter topical antibiotic. also I found his best not to touch them.

When he had the surgery, the surgeon almost undoubtedly sent the removed tissue to the pathology lab. The pathologist then should have diagnosed this correctly. Although, an accurate clinical history is often also needed for a proper diagnosis.

It would’ve been nice to see an update on his case and if the treatment helped him or not. But I really hope it helped him because his condition looks so painful! I ended up on Isotretinoin for a year because of pretty bad cystic acne. As a kid/teenager I had just regular pimples/acne that most teenagers get, nothing crazy, but in my late 20’s I started getting huge red bumps that feel like what a pimple feels like when it first pops up but times four! They were so painful and never came to a head to be popped, I tried to ‘pop’ a couple of them but nothing came out and it just made it hurt more! They were all over my face and I felt so embarrassed at work (I work with the public) cause I could see people looking at my face like “eww”. I got an appt with my dad’s dermatologist and he was so great, he explained everything about cystic acne and all about the oral Isotretinoin and everything that came with it. I had to get a pregnancy test and a cholesterol test every month, I’d get it a couple days before my appt cause our systems work pretty good together and it was just one little vial of blood for both test. Because the Isotretinoin can cause serious birth defects if I would get pregnant so they want to make sure that if I would get pregnant, they’d want to know ASAP so that I would immediately stop the Isotretinoin so my baby would be healthy. Isotretinoin can also elevate your cholesterol levels and that can have a pretty bad effect on your body so they start checking it after about a month or two, and if it’s high they stress that you need to change your diet because if it is still elevated the next month they might stop the Isotretinoin, but that didn’t happen with me. I was on it for 6 months and it slowly but surely was making things better, they warn that it may get worse before it gets better and of course with my luck it did. At six months it was better but not completely gone so my doctor and I decided to do six more months and it cleared up completely! And it’s been gone now for 10-15+ years now! I’ll still get a little pimple here and there but it’s nothing like what I went through with the cystic acne. If I could post before and after pics for ya’ll I would cause it was nasty! There are a lot of people against Isotretinoin (aka-Accutane) for some reason, but it works really well, you just; for women-you can’t get pregnant and for everyone-you gotta watch your cholesterol.
