because the surgery is free if they agree to appear on the show. Its understandable because it is expensive even with Dr Lee having quite low costs in comparison to other dermatologists. costs is majority of the reason they don't get it removed earlier.

I love how these patient’s doctors don’t seem to think about the psychological impact of having a growth like this or the practical implications on quality of life. The other thing I’ve noticed is that many of these lipoma patients average 9-10 years of development before removal.
