I got the sampler kit. The pre-cleanse smelled basement funky...maybe I got an old bottle? I don't have much flaking, so I couldn't tell on me, but I did use it in my son, who has severe issues with dermatitis, and it did break up the flakes and made them easy to flick out of his locs. The other products I thought were ok, but the price for all of them was out of budget for me. I understand all that goes into creating these, so they cost accordingly. If you've got the cash, fine, but I'll stick with what I'm using now. I would spring for the pre-cleanse as a treat for my son, though.

Interesting that the shampoo you received was moisturizing. The batch I have is definitely stripping and clarifying like an actual clarifying shampoo. Nonetheless, it works great.

I have tried Dr. Locs and I love love love the tightening spray however the Jinan Leave-In makes my hair dry and I want to use it so bad and idk why it dries my hair?

+ninajones28 I personally don't believe in oil-based "moisturizers" because oil doesn't not hydrate the hair and will just make it shiny but dry.

I’m a month in with my locs and I’ve already noticed flaking and some build up/flakes in my roots and where it’s starting to matte up. With the pre cleanse, do you just spray and pull the build up out then wash with a shampoo? Really thinking about buying.

My nephew has major build up and it's been there since his mom started his locs and I would love to clean it up for him. Now he's had them for about 5 to 6 year do you think this product would help clean up his locs.

Very informative review sis! Have you ever tried Wild Growth Hair Oil or Hydratherma Naturals Hair Growth Oil? I'm curious for your opinion on these. Thanks!

Thank you for watching! The Wild Hair Growth Oil is not something that I would personally use because it contains oils that are too heavy for locs in my experience. I have not heard of Hydratherma but will look into it.

Thank you for this video. I am looking for something for my dry locs. I was really considering chopping off my 16 month locs and starting over. I may still do that. I usually cut my hair every two years or so.
