Dr. Lori is the best thing to happen to antiques since Roadshow, which was what got me into the business. Her experience earning her Ph.D and after just brings so much more depth to her appraisals and her personality is a delight.

Wow!! Yes, When Dr. Lori started talking about that coin pointing out the different things unique on it, I had a feeling it was going to be worth a lot. I just started learning about the silver dollar myself. Bobby don't be nervous some coins are worth a lot more than that. Do what you feel is right for you. Good Luck! Love your show I listen everyday from about 7:45 until 10:30. I believe you are a really great guy who could have turned out very differently being how you grew up.

Never clean coins! You ruin their numismatic value. You're going to throw away money on the table when you do that besides ruining the coin.

My jaw went all the way to the center of the Earth when I heard how much that one coin is worth.

not even worth close to 100k dude. Lady has no clue. I bet you a coin store might offer you $100 if the coin was in GREAT condition

A few of things. 1. they provide no images of these "Rare coins" 2. the cleaned coin is significantly devalued due to the cleaning. 3. All of the things she mentioned are ON ALL Peace dollars. 4. The only coins worth more than 20,000 in the peace dollar series are a 1921 nearly perfect high relief peace dollar. 1922 high relief there are very few of these maybe 3-5. A 1964 peace dollar which none of them are known to exist and were experimental. 5. This lady is a collectables expert not a coin expert known as a numismatist. She pulled a number out of her butt for an existing end.

Nothing she said about those coin prices are accurate. 90% silver yes. ALL peace dollars have the V in trust. None of those 3 she mentioned are RARE. Please do more research.

I like Dr. Lori, but this is absolutely not true on the value of these coins! Talk with you local coin shop. They will most likely have several graded coins in there shop. All peace dollars have trvst, this is not an error. $100,000 is absurd, where did she get her information?

I missed the radio show the last two mornings but so glad I caught this on youtube. Congratulations on the Peace Dollar dude! I agree with Dr. Lori...hold on til the 100th anniversary and hope for a bump in value but then again you must ask the question will you really ever sell it? Sometimes something so unique or rare is hard to part with when you really don't need the money. As an aside, I recently gave my silver spoon (albeit less valuable monetarily of course) to my great grandson who will be 1 year old in September. My grandfather gave it to me when I was a baby and maybe he will do the same thing with it down the road. Anyway, great find and my congrats to you and studio, especially the one that gets the 10%! Bobby, Dr. Lori knows little to nothing about rare coin values. I'm a full-time coin dealer. Contact me with any questions. The Barber Half is likely worth in the $20 range. The 1921 Morgan and the Peace Dollar in the $35 range.

This didn’t age well lol. Tear down someone’s credibility from something on the radio.

@Matthew Morell how so? I write for Coin World magazine .... There are very very rare instances a 1934 Peace dollar would be worth that much, and it would need to be authenticated and graded by a third-party service (PCGS and NGC are the biggest in the U.S.). It would have to be extremely high grade, and from the San Francisco Mint, and on and on.

@@TheCoinwriter on the show today Bobby said it was all a prank. And Dr. Lori let everyone know it wasn’t worth more than $100.

Of course Lunchbox and Eddie want you to sell. I would wait the 11 years, or who knows what's in your future maybe kids you could leave it to don't rush because of them
