I just stumbled across your video, and got thoroughly shocked when you started talking about your red docs, since I too brought a black and a red pair around my 18th birthday, basically only used my black pair. They got really dinghy since I pretty much wore them everyday, so I ended up giving them to a friend. And now I wear my red pairs a lot more because I find the pop of color nice. Who knew that could be a universal experience

My first docs were the ones with the flower pattern and I used them so much that the style actually started to disappear due to constant use. The leather is softer than the normal 1460's doc martens, so I think that caused it to be worn out a lot quicker than most. Love your collection! I've been wanting to buy the vegan sandals for quite a lot, I think they look suupeer cute!!

please do a 1461 style video!! i bought my first one a few weeks ago and i’ve worn them a few times. i want to wear them more often but i don’t know how to style them! a tip for breaking in the 1461’s, i massaged the back of them by bending it in different directions and they are pretty much pliable and comfortable now.

Jamica Gaither It‘s kinda hard to say... I‘m usually a size 38, but when I measure the lenght of my food in centimeters, I‘m more of a 37.5. I got them in a 37 so I technically sized down half an european shoe number :) I tried on other docs (1460) before which were an 38 and they were too big. Pretty specific but I hope I could help you a bit :))

I know this video is a few years old but I need some advice for my first pair of Docs. I got my first pair yesterday for Christmas and I love them and slowly breaking them in. But they have a painted/printed design on them and I'm not sure how best to look after my shoes. I heard that the wonder balsam is bad for painted leather but I've not found any advice online for whether that's true or not, I'm also not sure how to polish them without ruining the design. Any advice is much appreciated 🙏 it probably sounds very dumb for people who have had docs for years, but I'm completely new to docs and the doc marten website just doesn't have the answers I need and can't find anything on KZbin either

Depends how stiff they are, I’m not sure if you have gotten rid of the squeak but baby powder and coconut oil might help!!

They will crease if you wear them a lot depending on your feet, I find mine crease a lot because my feet don’t fill up the shoes fully. But they last forever and look awesome even when creased!

I feel like they are the same width except maybe the vegan ones are a little shorter, my toes basically touch the end. Hope that helps
