Nayyar promoted Asha Bhosle as a rival to Lata Mamgeshkar..even overlooking Geeta Dutt and Shamshad Begum, with whom he made super hit songs as well. Also, Nayyar and Asha Bhosle were involved for many years..while in the 1970s his music began to fade away..Asha Bhosle continued to stay in the top position, which he helped her create.

So much popular music director who faced so many problems in life. I hate Asha ji for stopped singing for O.P Nayyar bcoz in 1972, Lata and Asha were re-united. And i think it was Lata g who asked Asha ji not to sing for OP Nayyar ❤️❤️
