Glad that person asked why it’s still even possible for nhs doctors to treat thyroid patients so badly and how they can get away with repeatedly ignoring them and not investigating their symptoms and then if they do, not ordering the extensive testing required to rule out every possible explanation. It’s barbaric and has to stop before any other people lose any more of their lives unnecessarily.

Thank you Guy, Dr Jenkins is wonderful and we're so glad the video was useful for you. We wish we had more resources to be able to do so much more. We're doing our best and learning as we go.

Wow thank you Dr Jenkins and The Thyroid Trust… Hopefully with more listening to patients and understanding thyroid disease, things can improve for the 10% of patients that don’t respond on just thyroxine T4 alone…

This is great - so glad to hear and interested Endocronologist! What would Dr Jenkins suggest to a patient on how to get a referral or see an endocronologist that might prescribe T3 on NHS? Most of us unfortunately can’t afford the cost of private treatment.

hi, sorry we only just found your message! there is lots of info on our website regarding T3 prescribing on the NHS - every CCG in the country has at least one patient receiving a T3 prescription though local guidance is inconsistent, national guidance is clear that it should be prescribed to those patients who need it - here's a link we hope you will find helpful www.thyroidtrust.org/t3-news-and-resources.html
