Game-Changing Thyroid Supplements That WORK

Thyroid supplements (if used correctly) can help boost your thyroid function, help with weight loss, and help you feel better.
The problem comes with knowing WHICH supplements to take and at WHAT dose.
It takes over 13 nutrients to create thyroid hormone, convert T4 to T3 and sensitize the cellular receptors to T3. Many thyroid supplements cram all of these nutrients into a supplement and call it "good". This is the WRONG approach to take.
Instead basing your supplementation off of the needs of your body is far superior. That means using lab work and other markers to find what nutrients you need in what doses.
9 Thyroid supplements that I find most hypothyroid patients are deficient in:
1. Vitamin B12 - Thyroid hormone is involved in the proper absorption of thyroid hormone. See the video for a complete list of symptoms.
2. Adrenal support - Most thyroid patients also have issues with cortisol dysregulation. If you have advanced adrenal fatigue most patients do better on adrenal glandulars. For more mild disease consider using adrenal adaptogens.
3. Zinc - Low levels of zinc can cause issues with your skin and issue with hair growth. Adding zinc boosts immune function, T4 to T3 conversion and acts as an anti-inflammatory.
4. Iron - This is what I consider a "Goldilocks" nutrient in that you don't want TOO much or TOO little. Unfortunately, most doctors look for iron deficiency anemia and don't necessarily jus treat iron deficiency unless anemia accompanies it. .
5. Magnesium - Hypothyroidism alters magnesium and low levels of magnesium can lead to issues like depression, anxiety and other changes like muscle cramps or restless leg syndrome.
6. Selenium - This nutrient is involved in the thyroid conversion process. Not only that but supplementing has been shown to reduce TPO antibodies and boost the immune system.
7. Probiotics - Up to 20% of thyroid conversion happens in the gut and inflammation can reduce this number. Hypothyroidism sets up the gut for imbalances that lead to inflammation.
8. Digestive enzymes - Hypothyroidism leads to low stomach acid which can predispose patients to malabsorption of certain nutrients. Using enzymes can help digest your food, increase nutrient absorption and if taken in between meals may promote the breakdown of immune complexes.
9. Iodine - If used correctly iodine can be helpful in boosting thyroid function.

I went hypothyroid in 2010. My doctor wanted to put me on Synthroid, but I refused because all of my friends who take that have lost most of their hair and that which has remained is white. Over four months of research and trial and error, I figured out the natural way to cure hypothyroidism: 1) 200 mg of 7-Keto DHEA in the morning, to keep the adrenals healthy; 2) 1250-1500 mg of Phyenlalanine (L or DL) spread throughout the day (this converts to Tyrosine as necessary); 3) 1.125 mg Iodine from 5 kelp tablets spread throughout the day; 4) 200-400 mcg of Selenium. My T3 and T4 have been perfectly normal for over 9 years now.

I cried listening to this. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 10 years ago and not one doctor that I have seen has tested ANY of these levels. This explains so much. I got to where I would quit taking my thyroid medicine because it never felt like it was working, I never felt any better no matter how long I took it or if my dosage got increased. Hearing my Dr.'s tell me my levels were "normal" frustrated me so badly because I didn't want normal, I needed optimal and they just won't listen. This has opened my eyes so much and makes complete sense as to why I have the symptoms I do and why I never felt like my medicine was working. Thank you so much for this, I am so grateful to have stumble across this!!!

Doctors in America really suck and dont care about their patients at all since all of the practices are owned by private equity and i guess the only focus is on maximizing revenue or profit rather than patient health. V frustrating

@@PS-ic4bp Exactly the reason they had to stick to the narrative in recent years, to keep their job. They might as well be replaced by robots, which is possibly the plan. I don't totally blame the doctors. They can't even trust the medical journals, if they even get time to look at one. Almost seems like they're trying to crash the medical care system. When corporations rule, things go downhill. (Especially when regulations are paid for)

I relate to you 100% I was taking levothyroxine and was doing fine, until I stopped doing fine. I began feeling dizzy...my hair was falling out....and I had rashes all over my body. I told my doctor about it and he insisted the thyroid "medicine" was working just fine since my TSH level showed normal. I finally got him to give me several of the other thyroid tests, and indeed, it showed that the levothyroxine had not been converting to T3. You know what my "doctor" said? He said he didn't place any "value" in the Reverse T3 test!!! The only test he relies on is the TSH. WHAT?? I had severe symptoms AND the new tests clearly showed him that the levothyroxine was not working, and he completely dismissed the new information!! What kind of a lunatic is THAT? And he has the audacity to call himself a "doctor"?? We have to always remember to TRUST OUR BODIES. They will always tell us the truth. I'm on NP Thyroid now and it's working fine. So far.

People here in the USA want Socialized medicine and they have no idea what they're asking for. I'm a Medicaid recipient so I get offered the worst of care. I haven't gone to see a doctor since I got messed up very badly by 2 doctors in a row in 2013. I ended up finding a good chiropractor Kinesiologists and paying out of pocket to get straightened out. Yes, I have debt but I got on the right track quickly. Best of wish for your good health!

Same in Canada. This plandemic has exposed our incompetent and corrupt Doctors. I will never trust a Doctor again. I am currently looking for a Naturapath. I am bedridden because my Doctor for over 25 years refuses to see me because I cannot wear a face rag. I haven't seen a doctor for over 3 years but I have paid for it all this time. My hope is that she pays for her lack of integrity. I refused the jab and now she is punishing me because she couldn't get paid for her evil plan to top up her bank account. I think she is pushing me toward Maid so she can benefit for that. I am holding out for the time being but I suspect that will be my only option.

Doctor Childs, please see if you ever encountered this problem of Melatonin that I have been taking for years for being good for many things but now new studies not certain yet say that Melatonin also produce some T4 cancelling out the natural T4 that the gland Thyroid produces. So my TSH went up to 7 called subclinical but I have to start taking 50 mcg of Levothyroxine to get rid of a Gorilla on my back. It has been a month but my body temperature did not reach 97.8 F yet in the morning which is a sign that the gland is working well. If I stop taking Melatonin now can I stop taking my T4 medication(Levo) soon ?

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 20 and I'm 45 now, so it's been a long time. I've never felt great. I have some good days, but I've been feeling 'blah' for a long time to the extent that that is what I consider normal. I have found that few doctors know anything about this disease other than to read lab tests and change dosages of various thyroid medications. I came across this information due to severe sciatic nerve pain that has been unbearable. Needless to say, in addition to physical therapy and stretching, I paid close attention to supplement recommendations for nerve health, which in some cases intersected with thyroid health. As a result, now I'm paying close attention to what else I can do or should stop doing for my thyroid health. I'm grateful for this research and will definitely be incorporating what I've learned into my daily routine.

When I had my thyroid removed the weight just packed on, and the weird thing is I've tried different diets, still nothing helps. I still suffer from the graves eye disease, and the graves skin condition as well I forget what exactly it's called but its a thickening of the skin on my shins. I’ve just been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s as well as Vitamin B12 and D deficiencies. I’ve been lucky as I’ve only had symptoms for a year and that was coming off a bad attack of Glandular Fever. My naturopath has been really proactive, and if you can afford it, I would recommend seeing one.

@@DrAdrianDrGiulia so I went to my dr. And they wouldn't even test this stuff at all. They told me that was more in depth than they wanted to go. I have only seen the nurse practitioner. But I made an appointment with the actual dr. On October 2nd. We will see! If I cant get them to test for this stuff what should I do from there?

I have a problem sharing too much because I always feel like someone won’t understand unless I give them more details. I just decided to send what I was saying in an email though and I just had to say my mouth just literally hit the floor when you described adrenal fatigue!! I have never heard a single person explain it so well!!! My partner is always saying stuff because I will fall asleep or not be able to drive because I’m so tired in the afternoon but then just like you said around 10:00 at night I’m wide awake again!!! I have tried looking for a functional Dr for a while but I never know how to tell who is trust worthy. Thank you for all of this though.

I work in Dermatology so I’m on my feet all day and lately I feel like I’m experiencing short term memory and I totally get the feeling of crashing between 2-3 pm. Thank you for this video. I'm calling my doctor on Monday and asking for several tests since watching several of your video's. My last TSH level 10 weeks ago was at a 42. I'm currently taking 145 mcg of Levothyroxine and still don't feel "normal." I'm 27 years old and feel 50. Thank you so much for all this information.

Amanda Lang hi there Amanda ! I was on levothyroxine , then switched to synthroid... this was over 15 years ago, for a two year period.... still felt awful n would fall asleep at my desk at work and I’d slur my speech... then I lost my medical insurance... I was devastated but it turned out to be the best thing for me... I went to the bookstore n parked my butt on the floor and read is your thyroid making you fat? By Bernie something... forgot his last name... he does this diet for people n if they’ve tried it and still don’t lose weight he suspects their thyroid is off... but he went into depth about why the two drugs I’d taken wouldn’t work and said I needed a drug with both hormones T3 & T4 for my thyroid to function properly.. so therefore he prescribes Armour thyroid, yes Armour meat packing company is where it comes from... comes from pigs and their hormones are close to humans... I guess. So I found a sliding scale clinic and I met a woman dr and explained my ‘thyroid’ problem n begged her to give me a prescription for Armour thyroid and she did cuz she said it sounded like I’d done my homework... three weeks later, I woke up n thought, I’m back to my old self... it’s been a lot better and there are several nutrients you need to also add to your diet... I’m still taking Armour thyroid too.. hang in there....

Thank you. I don’t know what I’d do with out you. I’m still at the beginning of my healing journey. Western medicine isn’t helping too much they don’t even want to test for reverse T3 but after being on Synthroid for six months and my symptoms not improving even though my TSH was ““ normal for them I finally got the T3 and it’s like a night and day difference. I’m hoping to get my symptoms under control and just continue on with a more natural approach. I’ve never been more sick in my life and your videos and information give me hope very well done thank you so much for your time.
