Tai Chi Chuan is very beneficial. I have practiced Yang style. I teach a Medical Tai Chi based on Yang Style that I learned from my Sifu.

Hiya Doc! Can you explain why you have found the zhan zhuang practices to be dangerous for your arthritic patients? I have found it to be very helpful within my own practice, for removing obstruction & healing tissue. Of course, incorrect practice of any kind can be dangerous, but I am speaking of correct standing posture alignment without over-strain of the soft-tissue. Thanks!
