Thankyou for this . I'm almost immobile after an accident that damaged both knees 3 weeks ago I'm diabetic, morbidly obese and have diagnosed fatty liver.I also have severe osteoarthritis and psoriatic arthritis As you can imagine I can barely walk. I'm in the process of changing the only thing in my control, my diet Knowing that i could have some reduction in the severe knee pain after losing around 12 kg gives me hope I'm iterested in the carnivore approach as nothing alse has worked, even removing grains is not enough Thanks Dr Mason for these videos

@@heatherwatson9564 thats pretty serious. From my own experiences i would advise you something much more radical: long term water fasting. First 3-4 days willbe hunger, anger, sufferings coming and going and stomach cramps and pains but then hunger will disappear, artritis willbe less and less painful, energy will slowly come back + very abnormal feeling of lightness and suddenly plenty of time. Depression will lighten and brain fog will start to clear slightly but steady with every day. From day 6-7-8 miracles are guaranteed and it gives such a motivation and becomes actually so easy that starting eating again feels unnatural. My longest wf was 20 days. It removed even scars from childhood. I skip a day of eating few times a month since around 8 years. Every next time is easier and easier. With re-feeding going full carnivore willbe also a piece of cake.

Noticed that today out walking the dog. The amount of men who appear quite healthy but have a pot belly. I've referred to these as "starch belly" which I think is true, recently I've heard that starch becomes more of an issue with age, would this be true?

I am the confounder here. I am strict carnivore in what I eat. However I continue to drink too much beer and wine as part of a pub based social life here in the UK. I have lost 90lbs, 30% of my body weight and taken 6 inches off my waist. I've reversed T2D and smashed myctriglycerides. I am in a state of informed consent. The sugar in beer is maltose a double glucose disaccharide. No fructose. My hypothesis is that beer has been convicted of the crimes committed by fructose and seed oils. Controversial but I stand by my results.

Penny drop! I'm nearly 50 & back in my late 20s/early30s I had a lot of knee pain & took glucosamine. I am convinced it helped but was persuaded that it was a useless waste of money. For other reasons I eat much less wheat now than I did then (probably still too much) & I exercise in a different way & my knee pain is essentially a thing of the past (though I still have plenty of other pains). I think I'll try some glucosamine again & if it works helps then that is a clear sign I need to smarten up my act diet wise.
