I am currently black listed as a dentist due, NOT to my skills, but rather to my convictions and difficulty to "cooperate". They are right . I won't bow or bend . Besides ,they had a project trying to establish the evidence base of public dentistry. Turned out they had none and I pointed this out in relation to their slogan that public dentistry has to be evidence based ........ As I told my colleagues if I shut up I don't like myself - much worse than accepting that they don't like me. On the other hand : a Swedish doctor went to work in Denmark . He asked some experienced nurses what the guidelines were in a certain case . They asked : "are you not a doctor?" 😉

Make sure that you are drinking enough water, try increasing from where you are and see how you go. Also remember that sometimes kidney function can look like it's going down if you're eating more protein because urea goes up if you're eating more protein, and sometimes creatinine can too. But this doesn't mean that it's not filtering out properly, just that you are eating more protein. If you check your cystatin C you can get a more accurate reading of your kidney function that isn't going to be skewed by the protein you are eating. Good luck!

When a clinician says that the patient will be non compliant, it’s based on the incorrect assumption that all patients who were unhealthy and overweight were due to non-compliance to the recommended sad diet. This was always wrong. This shows that they are arguing from a conclusion based on an assumption. They’ve refused to believe their patients for at least the last forty years. NOT a very scientific method of thinking by the majority of doctors today. They literally tell patients that they are hypochondriacs and other invalidating nonsense. My wife’s urine albumin/creatinine ratio has increased since starting carnivore. She has had many other improvements in her health so we don’t necessarily want to abandon the carnivore WoE. But, we are concerned and wonder what to do next???

Hi Anna I was diagnosed with PKD as a side issue found when I was told I had cancer (now in remission praise God!) I am 28 and have no impact from the disease. How old are you and was your eGFR decreased when you started Carnivore? Were your kidneys increased in size too when you started? If you don't want to answer here totally understand. I'm so glad I was sent this interview so amazing!

A great interview !!! Just one aspect does concern me and that is how should you help someone who has the "APOE4" gene which prevents them from consuming suitable levels of fat for the Ketogenic diet. Now anyone who has that gene should well know it as they will have significant problems throughout their life. I would love to hear from someone on your podcast who can give advice for them on this topic. GREAT INTERVIEW!!! Thanks

Dr. Chaffee. Question about Foamy or Bubbles in Pee, is that normal? Also I pee frequently and wake up multiple times a night to pee. I eat a ton of protein, more than 3lbs a day on average.

Foamy Urin means you are spilling proteins, nitrogen in the urine. Frequent urination with weak stream or flow is sign of compromised kidney function.

i dont think red meat kills you .I am going ketovore myself I tried carnivore again but I honestly love salads and veggies and feel much better eating both. I do not believe we are ment to never eat a veggie or a fruit. I do not eat fruits as a type 2 But i noticed when i eat keto stuff like califlower and cream cheese did not spike my sugar. And honestly meat only is not tasty to me as I have always loved veggies. I know wierd a fat guy who loves veggies. I have quit ranch and seed oils I just eat the veggies all natural. Like some chicken and veggies are amazing low calorie and etc etc and dont spike me off to no where.

I have had so many positive results since starting Carnivore. reversed my prediabetes and IR. Lost 23 " of fat and 30lbs. Look and feel amazing! I was told it would destroy my kidneys. So far not seeing that, or even close to it, even when doing labs. Believe it or not I am now hearing this from my Veterinarian regarding my cat! Cats being obligated carnivores I am not sure how this would be, as they have been eating meat for 1000's of years. She said they are not human so, their bodies work differently. Of course just like us the Big Pet food and pharma are involved in this so? Obesity being an issue with our pets, and the same chronic illnesses, I cant help but think they are suffering from Metabolic issues just like we are. I have yet to find a Vet who looks at diet in this way for our pets. Would be great to have one who is in the 'Know' start to speak out on this.

Fatty red meat is appropriate human food. Carbohydrates are contraindicated in human diet.
@MelzCarnivoreJourney5 ай бұрын
People who have AFIB have resolved it by doing Dr. James DiNicolantinio salt protocol. He wrote, "The salt fix." It's on Amazon. Basically, AFIB has to do with nerves inability to fire correctly. The nerves require electrolytes to fire properly. Elements like calcium, potassium, magnesium, and sodium are necessary for that process. Although i agree with his assertion that salt has erroneously gotten a bad rap. I don't agree with Dr. James DiNicolantinio's other ideas. Salt, along with fat, was vilified by the sugar companies' research as a way to obfuscate the truth about their product. Sugar is basically addictive poison that's killing us slowly and horribly.

Kerry over at KZbin channel called HomeSteadHow had a heart arrhythmia his entire life. He went carnivore, and it is now gone. He openly discusses it in some of his videos. I watch a lot of carnivore videos. It seems to me I've seen one where the person interviewed specifically stated they had Afib and carnivore helped. Carnivore also does not have to be extremely high fat. Some people do well with moderate or even lower fat. Amount of fat you feel good on and keeps bowels regular varies from person to person. Hope this helps
