It's not a smirk!!! This is not a 29 year old man. This is still a child who didn't get to grow up in a healthy way. So he wears a guarded, frightened, "Get me out of here!", looking over his shoulder little boys smile to protect himself. He fidgets, shrugs his shoulders, moves his eyes in every direction... he appears no differently than he does in those videos when he was 9 but none of his body language points to guilt. There are times where he does look like he's keeping a secret. It's all too possible he knows who killed his sister but inside Burke is still a little boy too frightened to tell.

Burke smiling displays a reaction to a very uncomfortable life changing event that happened to him at such a young age. My younger brother and I both will laugh or joke during very uncomfortable situations. I know for me it’s because if I don’t laugh, I will cry. It’s just how we deal with very stressful situations. I do not believe Burke killed his sister. Do I think he knows more than he is willing to share knowing it was his mom and dad he would be turning against? Yes, but he loves them. This whole nightmare has caused Burke so many years of having to become very private because every move was scrutinized by the press, friends, neighbors, teachers, and when he began dating how would he escape the one question? Are you JonBenéts brother? He has said he has lived with a media storm since he was 9. I’m sure he has developed some social adapting techniques such as the nervous smile, working from home, being a loner. This guy not only lost his sister but he lost his childhood too.

That's exactly what I don't understand either. Like how is the basement off limits? Also, I don't recall them searching outside either? I mean, I'm sure that would be unsafe but for a parent who is hysterical, I don't think that would stop them from searching outside and screaming their name looking for them. Idk....

He was terribly nervous & his eyes were so wide & his mouth too as if smiling, So He Didn't Cry. That doc was formatted to James Kolar's book of BS blaming Burke & that's why He was on there too, sitting back for the most part letting the Charlatans do his dirty work. CBS were mightily sued for the gross misleading of the public & the lying con artists were included in that suit. CBS settled the case out of court & had to pay up mega Millions of $$$. I think its amazing that people find the family weird and creepy and are shocked or confused that the ONLY surviving child left to be raised by them, turned out "odd". John Ramsey and several other former military guys were already on scene when cops arrived. He absolutely knows what happened to that child and people higher up are protecting him. Her mother is no different than the other weak, pathetic mothers in the world who look the other way while their children are abused.

Why were the ties on her arms so loose, how did dad find her in the dark.why would you mess with the crime scene and put your child on the ground where everyone was walking instead of on the couch? If I picked my child up I sure as heck wouldn't lay them on the floor they would be put on the couch since it was close to me and our of respect for my child. Hell I would have stayed down there with her trying to hold her not carry her up the steps to lay on the ground! And the ransom letter is a bit strange as well. Who takes almost 22 minutes to write a ransom note if your gonna kill someone? And then you ask for the same amount of money that Jon made that year. Hmm yeah that's weird

As a mother, I'm not understanding how you don't search the ENTIRE house and surrounding areas before calling the police. Then Burke said that his mom came into his room saying, "where's my baby?" That's odd that she potentially expected her to be in there and maybe him being the culprit if something did happen. Also, the father's daughter Elizabeth died in 1992 and then JonBenet 4 years later. It is possible that they're protecting Burke because he's already lost two children and then Burke (a third) would be locked up. He could very well be on the spectrum and has a MH Professional with also a BCAT certification, he does display potential signs. Some autistic children can be violent as well. I've also had a client with Scatolia, which could be dua form of attention seeking behavior. I'm sure JonBenet got a lot of attention from everyone, due to her being in pageants.

John was once divorced. He would readily throw Patsy under the bus. They both covered up the crime and only Burke protecting would have brought them together. Burke had previously hit Jon in the face with a gulf club. He would not hesitate to hit her in the head with the flashlight that was sitting in the Ramsey kitchen and was identified as the weapon that likely fractured Jon's head. The flashlight and batteries was wiped clean of prints and the parents said it wasn't theirs, the pineapple wasn't theirs, Burke refused to identify the pineapple when questioned by a psychologist. He may have accidentally killed Jon. It's known he disliked her, smeared feces on her walls and gifts, previously hit her in the face with a gulf club, instantly moved on with his life as if Jon never existed.

This is and will always be the strangest case ever. The parents are odd, and the kids were odd. Patsy was a pageant girl and so was her daughter. I believe they would have been great in politics if this horrific situation hadn’t happened. Having said that I believe Patsy was a show mom. She wanted the outside world to see her and her family as perfect. So when she’s raising her kids she taught them to smile, in all situations. Smile when your happy, smile when you feel awkward, smile when you are nervous, smile when you are hurting, smile through it all. Always be camera ready. It’s very common in the wealthy community’s here in the south. I’ve seen and known lots of people like this. Typical pageant life. I don’t think it was the family. Someone close to the family but not the family. I hope in my lifetime they find out the truth of what happened to this beautiful little girl.

Dr. Phil should stick to family psychology. He isn't a criminologist, detective or an attorney. I've always thought it was absurd the 9 yr old could do this, but after 25 years of avid trial watching, I know people can do some horrific things to cover a crime up. And hBurks admission of sneaking out of bed to play with a toy, gives me the motive, she wanted to play too, he tried to pacify or bribe her with the pineapple, when that didn't work, he very well could have hit her in the head with that flashlight. Here is only two cases to consider: 1968- Mary Bell 11, killed 3 and a 4 year old. The 3 yr old was strangled, stabbed with scissors and the letter M carved into his stomach. 1993-Robert Thompson and Jon Venables aged 10, led a 2 yr old beat, punched, dropped on head, paint poured in eyes, sexually assaulted left on RR tracks to die and was hit by train. Kids are capable of doing horrific things!
@raea35888 жыл бұрын
Dr. Phil put that flashlight in his hand as motive! Burke never said he had the flashlight and Burke didn't sneak downstairs when everyone was asleep! There are many interviews where John Ramsey was asked to tell every detail of what happened when the family got home from the Christmas party and he always said that Burke went downstairs to play with a toy after being sent to get ready for bed but his parents were still awake, JonBenet was asleep. His dad helped him put the toy away and took him back to bed. Burke was obviously to young to remember the details. Yes, he snuck downstairs but John found him. Patsy was getting JonBenet into her pajamas at the time!

I'm not a Dr Phil fan but he did work as a forensic psychologist before doing his show. I don't think he does well with families at all. I'm guessing he should've stuck more with the stuff he was doing, which was interviewing for courts and criminal cases and not one on one therapy.

There's an episode of criminal minds That every time I watch it, I think of him. A little boy killed his brother for breaking his toys and the parents called a cop friend and he made it look like an abduction. But when talking to the little brother they notice how he didn't cry or even seem to care. He just wanted to play with some toys and have a snack. Did you know that there were finger prints found on the bowl belonging 7:19 to 2 people, Patsy and Burke. I don’t think he killed her because there was sex fluid on Jon. I think he hated her because of the attention. He is not right anyhow. No one smiles speaking about their baby sibling being so terribly murdered. I think her father had a hand in her murder and her mother. After all, she did not change her clothes from the night before and still had them on the next day. They cleaned up by dusting furniture and many other things. And what’s with th mad wanting to wash the child’s bed clothes. The mother mentions the maid and she had a key they renege her statement stating she shouldn’t have implicated the maid. Any normal father losing a child in this manner would need to be sedated. Like when his first daughter died. He was uncontrollable then. The paper that was used for the note was taken from a writing pad that wa in the house. It not that was written perfectly matched the tear from the paper pad itself. Anyone knows you never touch a murder scene. You move away. Actually thy should have been removed from the house altogether. For forensic reasons. The father carried her up the stairs too. Yup. Mommy and Daddy did it.
