The Scrap Mechanic's new 0.4.8 update adds a bunch of new features to the game. The logbook, the beacon, a new desert biome, oil ponds for unlimited fuel, new clothing, and hints about the next Survival update.

@@Dr-Pixel tbh the thing that gives me the most hype is that screenshot they leaked in their Twitter, looks like some sort of underground area, it might be a new explorable structure like the warehouses or even better you might be able to dig and do stuff like that, that'll be awesome

@@lukepaterlini7396 Thanks! I didn't know about the screenshot. That sure looks epic. I hope it's a cave system or something like that so you could do some real mining. Maybe they even add new ores besides metal? Unlikely, but it would be amazing.

I'm real glad about the oil lakes since I use a lot of gas, but... deserts are nowhere to be found in my map afaik so rip me. Guess I'll keep the swimsuit on a bit longer

@@Dalzombie Those are very rare but they should be existing in every world. The map is big so it may be a good idea to create a flyer for exploring to look for deserts. When you find one you can make an oil pump and the already built flyer will be very useful and resourse-friendly after that

@@user-ij8bz5sn2b My oil lake (singular, because of course lol) just happens to be next to the chemical plant which I was already farming for crates and golden crates so it kinda worked out for me. Still, yeah, deserts are super uncommon. Really wishing for open desert and snowy worlds to add in variety

1:40 They said on Twitter that oil lakes will be added to older worlds as well. It will generate in your current world. In fact, the desert biome already existed before, it jus used to have a water lake, I think.

Mabye they will make a buoyancy/floatingblock and then you can rebuild your hot air balloon

While Scrap Mechanic is doing best so far, I do want to experiment with other games, and Raft is very high on my list. I can't promise, but I think it's likely that there will be new Raft videos. At least, when they release the next chapter.

During 3 Raids, that lasted 5 minutes each, only two level 3 metal blocks were destroyed. So it's not that bad. You can probably make blocks indestructible in the game files, though.
