What I love about this witness, Dr. Curry, is that she speaks about the protocols of the tests she conducted, she presents the results of the tests, she brings up all the statistics necessary, basically she speaks based on the data that she collected from Amber. Dr. Hughes, however, blabbered about all the stories that we’ve all heard from Amber herself, it’s as if she’s retelling a gossip as we do to our friends!! So her talking like that on the stand as an expert witness is so weird!! THIS is how an expert witness should speak.

Actually, as a professional psychologist, or any other scientific discipline, such situations in these kinds of courts are unbelievable. It seems like certain lawyers are not aware of scientific methods and procedures. And they will interpret the words of persons such as Curry with a lower level of understanding. I believe that the United States needs to raise the bar for professionalism in court. The US has along with Europe, the world's most advanced science. But as for law, it still has many progressions to make.
