Dr. Sunil Gupta (MD, FRCP(Glasgow), FRCP(Edinburgh)FRCP(London) , FACP(USA), FICP, FIAMS, FIACM) is the Managing Director and Consultant Diabetologist at Sunil's Diabetes Care n' Research Centre, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

Is it safe to take Human actrapid insulin after meal?

Looks like Levemir doesn't work on me. My fasting sugar is between 105-120 whether I take Levemir dose or not. It's as if it doesn't make any difference. 😒 And there's no hypoglycemia at any point in the day. I've checked my sugar early mornings as advised by you.

Hello sir, my mother has undergone heart surgery and she is using novamix 30 insulin 20 units morning and 16 units in the night . She is getting low sugar sometimes in midnight nowadays. Can we continue to use same insulin or is there any good substitute with same composition
