Bad advice. Getting married and/or committing to someone is settling - hence the tern settling down. The man you are going to be with for life will not be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Newsflash - neither are you. The guy who will choose you will be settling too. He is the person who likes and gets along with you and vice versa. You are not exceptional, nor is he. Dear men: Please stop thinking for women and speaking in absolutes. Competition with other women and fearing how others view us aren’t the reasons many of us aren’t for the poly lifestyle. Women are human beings and all humans have the same basic needs/desires. We are territorial too. The same way men don’t like sharing their woman with another, women love just as hard and don’t want our man exerting the same energy-emotions and sexual energy to another either. And it may be worse for us because once a man gives his “chi” out, there’s nothing left. One woman can drain him and there’s nothing left for another. And most men have a hard time managing with one woman (mentally, emotionally and sexually). Also, for those who believe in the Bible, the command was one man and one woman for marriage.

The house was in my mom’s name, the car was in my mom’s name, the people handing out self esteem on a platter of credit cards trusted my mom and not my dad. You don't have to live with someone in order to see who you're dealing with . You just have to take time to get to know one another. When people live together, there's greater likelihood to stay beyond the relationship's expiration date. However, if you choose to live together, it does not have to involve sexual intercourse. As a Christian, I practiced abstinence before I got married. My husband and I lived together for some months before we got married due to financial reasons, but we did not have sex until after our wedding. We were on the same page, so it worked for us. We were together for 1.5 yrs before we got married & we've been married for over 8 yrs now. We're still getting to know each other & will continue to do so. However, what I learned about him before living together and after living together was no major major difference even in comparison to what I have learned about him over the course of our marriage. That's for somebody! ❤

One of the many concerns I have about this podcast is how BW focused it is on how black women ought to be to get or keep a man. I barely heard anything geared towards men about how to treasure, appreciate and be a good husband and father. It comes across as very blaming of women. What message and guidance for our BM and sons about how to honor their families and carry themselves? Dr Umar was able to name 5 women who he could have married due to their qualities. How many BW can name 5 men who would make good fathers and husbands? Why don’t we talk about the cultural dynamics that contribute to this scarcity and the misogyny?

This is how I know Western BW specifically American BW are pointless to have a conversation with and disastrous to build a family with. All Umar does is blame men, and on the rare occasions he blames women he coddles y'all , saying with all do respect or it's not her fault etc. Then he'll go on and use false racist stereotypes about BM. In this conversation he kept talking about baby momma this baby momma that, when the majority of BM don't have kids. And out of the BM that do have kids, the majority of them are married. These type of statistics will never ever get the proper acknowledgement, because all y'all do is blame us. You pick the father, you raise the kid, then somehow everything in our community is our fault. What a fking joke of women smfh

You already dealing with polygamy in a different form. If you have been with more than one man or your man has been with more than one woman, then you have inadvertantly practiced a form of polygamy. What exactly is the definition of polygamy? One form of it is when a spouse is married to more than one spouse simultaneously. However, if a man or woman is dating or sleeping with multiple men or women, although not married, it is the same act being committed without the marriage.

Number one, we as women must operate in the wisdom of Yahuah Alluah. We must choose to wise up and rise up and don't and compromise the goods. Do not give it away so quickly without appreciation and commitment that is solid and sealed within a marital covenant. Praying men will now know that this behavior of them reaping the benefits and discarding the woman who nurtured, carried, and sacrificed to build his success is no longer an available benefit offered! Speaking on how some people can potentially cripple other people; however, what about the recent issue with that heavy-set sister and as reported, your (you Dr Umar Ifatunde) purportedly having sex with her as well as the potential harm that likely happened with this Black Queen? Being that I didn't fully research or viewed said video, I wasn't fully aware of the potential damage that could have unrighteously been done to this female victim; nevertheless, as I've often commented: Although he is indeed brilliant (at least very studious); yet, at times, Umar Johnson Ifatunde seemingly acts as if he is part of the same FBI (that he periodically attacks) and/or part of some type of alien Enli/Inke/annunaki-like agenda.???? In a recent blog/vlog (I think 'MIKE TV') about Umar as a Scammer; subsequently, after viewing the commodes (seemingly with feces on them) that Umar was displaying to the public, I then and now realize that he is actually on some form of street drugs and/or suffering from some delusional - schizoid mental type condition. No rational-minded person would have ever shown those type videos to the public at large, especially while trying to convince the public that you have a school that you are actually renovating. All in all, ultimately, Umar Johnson Ifatunde will never be able to fully aid the Black Diaspora. As due to what potentially could have happened to this said victimized woman, perhaps, at this point in time, legal actions should be taken against Dr Umar Johnson Ifatunde????

You still not going to find out everything you need to know, it's about getting to know each, spending a lot of time together, asking needed questions. When I got married to my husband now we didn't shack. ( But prior to that relationship i did shack for almost 2 years with a guy and it went no where. Why buy the cow when milk was free and giving it away). But we made it work. Love made it work. We worked hard and together, of course it was tough living together. It took about 10 years for me and my husband to get it together. Got married at 45 and now 20 years later, stronger than ever due to hardships and pain, but we was determined. Of course I almost threw in the towel several times. But that was the easy way out. We having the best time working and traveling and enjoying grandkids.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love begins with patience. No one is perfect, we all have our flaws. Love is kind, it is never meant to be mean, disrespectful, or violent. Love is not about what's in it for me nor bragging about my good thing. Love is definitely not a background check. If you love a person, you would never be happy with something happening to that person. The real problem with relationships today is the fact that they are NOT based in love.
