Dr Who: An Unearthly Child (First Ever Episode) Reviewed

With the return of Doctor Who to the BBC, I take a look at a different beginning - the first ever episodes with the first ever Doctor Who - William Hartnell.
The series would grow beyond a cult following and a 1990s cancellation to gain new popularity in the 2000s. These episodes, shot in black and white, launched the long-running series in 1963. How do they hold up after sixty+ years?
School teachers Ian and Barbara investigate a mysterious pupil at their school and are launched into an adventure across time.

You will enjoy the Pertwee and Tom Baker series. Jon Pertwee's run is very similar to original Star Trek.

It's unlikely I'll ever get through it all but I will probably check out a few of each series. Sean Pertwee should have been a Dr at some point.

@@SeagullsGather For the 50th, I went through all the episodes and it took me nearly the whole year to track down the episodes and watch what was available.

Oh, if post-Baker was your starting point - I stopped with it circa 1981 or something!
