Does the extension tool also have storage space in the bit driver?

Question: will either the Wiha or Steinwhale double sided bits work in the Bit Bar? I fear the Wiha would stick out, and the Steinwhale would be too short to extract easily. But it would be so cool if one of those sets would work, doubling capacity to 16.

So as it stands just using regular bits, they go up to the very very edge. So double sided bits won't work. But ironically, and this happens often, I don't main this tool anymore. What I began to realize is that it's heavier than it needs to be and it's actually not that great of a screwdriver. But I appreciate the aesthetic. I love the look of it. But if you really think about it, it doesn't 2 jobs correctly. It's not the best for holding bits, there are lighter options. But it's not the best as a screwdriver, a bit clunky. So if it's good at neither it begs the question, what is it good for? That said, again, it's a beautiful thing and looks cool in pictures. But I'll take Swiss PB blocks with doublesided bits and either a Topeak or Lollipop or anything else that's more useful as a driver.

Wera Bit-Check 7, my favorite way of catty bits.

Oh this is different. I thought you were talking about the Bit Bar for a second. Ah, this method works too. :P

I just like it. The way it's built is kinda genius imo.

You can also remove one of your center most bits and inset the extension for even more torque.
@Dracomies Жыл бұрын
holy cow! That's a good idea! I might test that out! The issue is that the center doesn't lock in place though. I wonder if it would negatively affect something. I'll try it though!! :D

omg it does work! I don't know if I want to put too much pressure on it since I don't know how it's held in place inside. But that is an option!

@@Dracomies Well the Steelman version has a steel tray that holds the bits, and fiber filled plastic as a guide on the holder itself. I assume this is similar. Probably a plastic guide and a TI tray. Looks like it anyway. Steelman=a company that took the desgin contracted by BID. so it looks like the Bit Bar and the EDS had a baby. Just not in TI lol

The Klein 11 in 1 is more useful than all of them so that point is moot

No disagreement there. Both do the same function, one is just fancier looking
