Great video! I can say from my own experience that these exercises would put CPAP manufacturers out of business, if apnea sufferers could be bothered doing them daily. I was classified as having 'severe' apnea. I would wake up constantly, and my partner said I would sound like I was choking. This really stressed her and meant I had to sleep in the spare room a lot. My parents and sister also have apnea and on CPAP. Apparently my throat is very narrow and according to 'experts' my only option was CPAP. Well, I cured my apnea by doing these mouth/throat exercises daily, I lost all excess weight and drink 2 quarts of water a day (for sinus and respiratory well being - look it up). Now I sleep all the way through the night, no snoring, no apnea. Personally, I don't believe the weight loss alone cured me, to be honest i think most of the cure had to do with the mouth/throat exercises. I do them in the shower every day now without fail. I also practice holding my breath for longer periods, which helps (look it up). I've tried to convince my sister to do it, but she just doesn't believe it, although to be honest I think she would prefer to use a machine than make any life changes. :-/ oh well.

I started with some breathing issues years ago when I was so skinny that doctors dismissed sleep apnoea. I have asthma and described the occasional symptom of choking during the night to them (absolutely scary and horrendous!) and not one doctor would consider sleep apnoea, saying I was too slim to have it. Even now, with a bit more weight on, they still do, as I'm still slim-ish. So, I haven't been diagnosed with it, but I am a mouth-breather and teeth grinder. Only when I started having other issues, like tartar in my teeth, despite my hygienist's acknowledgement of my good oral hygiene, is that she realised that by being a mouth breather at night, I was not producing enough saliva to clean my teeth. That explained waking up with a dry mouth. I have been doing Dr Adam's exercises for tmj and have just started with these ones for sleep apnoea to see if it works. My hygienist also recommended to use a mouth tape over night, so I do not breathe through my mouth. I hope they help and will see if it's worth having a mouth guard for tmj, but I'd rather do the exercises. I found the tape at Amazon, 2 packs with 60 each, inexpensive. You can use normal tape, but these ones stay put, are reusable and do not hurt the skin.

I just wanna say that I was scared because no matter what position I was in, I could feel my nose getting cut off of air right as I was falling asleep and it would immediatelywake me up. It was getting worse and I was scared I would never be able to fall asleep again. I did these exercises yesterday and last night my airway did not get cut off at all as I was falling asleep anymore. I still woke up exhausted but the point is I actually slept through most of the night! I'm going to keep up with the exercises, but I just want to thank you. When I went to the doctor they wanted to give me allergy medicine with a side effect of sleepiness but I knew it wasn't my allergies causing this, and I was already extremely sleepy. I wish every single doctor knew about these videos. You're helping so many people with this, thank you again!!

I've been using the v1 video for over a year to correct my sleep apnea OB & Central Apnea. Started using your video v2, for over 3 months and found the v2 was giving better results..My tongue has come forward and the opening of my mouth is close to normal-WOW. When you instructed to do the exercises, I made sure I would do to its maximum. In other words if it's done 100% you get faster results. My nose breathing has improved greatly. it's made my lips stay closed, another WOW! Thank you Dr Adams you are a gift from GOD! Julie Rosenberg

It’s only been a few days since I started doing these exercises plus the ones in your first video. I haven’t been sleeping on my back for years for fear of my throat closing off and choking on my post nasal drip. The ENT dr had said I had a long uvula that hangs really low and practically covers up my throat. Well, I tried sleeping on my back last night and not only did I not snore, I did not wake myself up choking. I am thrilled. I had even bought a snore guard thinking I’d have to boil it and shape it to my teeth to wear it, knowing it would be a huge hassle especially after reading how it rubs on your gums and causes issues. So I am so happy there is a solution to sleep apnea! I looked into this only because I am scheduled for a colonoscopy and don’t want to have breathing problems during the sedation. I’m so glad I found your video. It’s the best one out there! Many thanks. I’m planning to continue to do this nightly before bed. And the remedy for postnasal drip is a few drops of lemon water directly into the throat. I discovered that too!

This video actually cured my sleep apnea. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea (6 apneas per hour) so my dentist gave me a sleep apnea device that moves my lower jaw forward. It wasn't comfortable, but it brought me down to 4 apneas per hour. Now that I've been doing this video for two months, I took another sleep study, and I'm down to 2.5 apneas per hour, without my apnea device. This puts me well in the normal range. I'm very grateful, and wish more doctors would recommend this kind of intervention. Thank you!

Hey Sarah . I am glad it helped you. I just have a question if you dont mind. I wonder if before doing these exercise if your tounge use to be at bottom of the mouth or up up against the palate and where is your tounge positioned now.
@SarahDuran-m8m
@SarahDuran-m8m Жыл бұрын
@@SoundLock Hi Amir. I used to keep my tongue on the bottom of my mouth, and I think that that was a big part of my problem. Now I keep my whole tongue pressed against the top of the palate, and this seems to put my jaw in a more neutral position and prevent my tongue from relaxing backwards and covering the airway...

Adam, my journey starts here. My PVC’s Dangerously low Blood pressure and apnea had me in the hospital on and off this month. Waking hundreds of times a night. Can’t be steered in the proper direction till now. Read a personal story by James Carlton that followed Christian Goodman’s practice “Stop Snoring and Sleep Apnea Program” that led me here. This will be my game changer! May this year and all the following bring love and light. Blessings friend.

I would say your exercises are great. However, the two most important exercises are the open mouth exercise which i recommend 5 minutes moderate sleep apnea and 10 minutes sereve sleep apnea and the putting your knuckles on your cheecks to open up the nasal passages for about 3 minutes. Combine both of them and your sleep apnea would be under control. The other exercises are just icing on the cake.

I don't even have to recall anything on how to do it or be on my own when doing the exercise because I just have to play your video and follow you. It is that simple. You made it simple(like a slingshot) but powerful( like King David). You didn't fast forward any step in your video so It is more convenient to follow you like in real time exercise. My chocking was like the giant and your video is King David who defeated my chocking. You are my King David. You did it Dr. You are a conqueror, you are a life saver....many lives.🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪👏👏👏

Oh dear..... Red is your colour... 😳😂 On a more serious note I've developed SEVERE apnea from a pharmaceutical injury because I had (undiagnosed) Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (connective tissue problems) to the point it became critical. We even discussed a tracheoscopy. Seriously all these exercises could have really benefited me the last 2 yrs. Im still at risk for this. So now after 2 yrs of very little help and terror, I'm happy to see these videos. They will help me. I'm angry that no physician or therapist has even suggested ANY of this??? On my own I was singing on the top of my lungs to try to strengthen throat. Tongue stuff never occured to me. Very important stuff here. My apnea has been critical to the point of being suicidal. I will share your videos. Good job. 👌👏👍

I'll keep red in mind ; ) I am deeply grateful to have you on-board with these exercises. EDS is utter freaking hell. My heart goes out to you. @@dradamfields effing nightmare but it was triggered by the drug injury. NO issues prior. Now I love with so many issues including chronic pain, peripheral and autonomic neuropathy, apnea, etc. What do chiropractors know about EDS'ers or how can they help them? @@dradamfields Benzodiazepine withdrawal did this to me. Dr's don't know how to safely withdraw people. I'm seeing other women being ripped apart by benzos and being diagnosed with EDS in their 50s. Tragic. A drug can destroy us.

EDS is so tragic. I'm sorry i just saw this post. I am not an expert on EDS. I have seen it happen to people who take fluoroquinolones. This is a classification of broad-spectrum antibiotics. I didn't know about the Benzo/EDS connection
@sandywhat2429
@sandywhat2429 3 жыл бұрын
@@dradamfields yes EDS can be serious. However these powerful meds are causing apnea in people without EDS as well. Dr's prescribing longterm benzos, opioids or other barbiturates. Sad that people don't know this. Medical created apnea? What a kick in the ass. I'm also suffering from Empty Nose Syndrome causes by an ENT surgeon. Another iatrogenic Dr created chronic health issue. It's called ENS for short. Yeah the benzo withdrawal hit me much like a FQ injury. The most suffering I've been through has been caused by Drs.

Hi Joanita, I just saw this post. Sorry for the delay. You are really going for it. The people who get results are like you. They go months doing V1 and V2 daily. It depends on how you are now sleeping. Have you had it monitored with an app or a sleep test? If you just go by feeling, are you feeling like your air is 100% open. If so, just do an exercise every other day or every day. Take care and I'm so happy to hear your story.
