I just did the exercises from the first three videos. My jaw was stiff and had a clicking sound when opening for many years. I couldn't eat normally. Now, for the first time in a long time, I feel no pain and can open my jaw wide. I feel blessed. And not only the exercises, but also your voice and the words themselves are therapy. From now on, these exercises will become my routine. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with the world :)

I have to say Dr. Fields, I literally cried doing this video with you because of pain .. I am a 61 yr old with an adopted 10 year old boy, taking care of an 89 yr old mother and 93 yr old father. Spending restless nights at my parents away from home, homeschooling, corona virus, hurricane and storm damage... you name it. I put myself last but finally made a ENT appt for stopped up ear, ringing in ears, lately headaches every day. STRESS. Didn't realize how much pain I was in until I did this video with you. What a Godsend. I feel better after doing 3 of your videos tonight, including this one. Your methods are FANTASTIC and so easy to follow, and the very places you work on is where my problem areas are.. I know because it HURTS! I have been praying for relief and God answered. I did not realize TMJ/TMD could cause stopped up ear and ringing. I may not have to go the ear doctor after all. I really, really think this is my problem. I had all kinds of crazy thoughts about what may be wrong with me, but your videos pinpointed where my pain was and I think YOU have diagnosed my problem for me. I can't tell you how GRATEFUL I am that you are providing these videos to help people like me. You are a gift and I LOVE your presentation, your demeanor and the peace I've felt watching you. THANKS so much! May God bless you and your family abundantly! BTW... will definitely be watching your neck exercise series! GOD BLESS YOU!

@livinlifewithluke3534 TMJ can cause all kinds of issues like tension migraines, nerve pain and soreness to the touch in your face/head/ back of ears, and restless nights. I’m 37 taking care of one parent with dementia and I can empathize with you and putting yourself last. This is the only TMJ video that’s ever helped me. Since it was also helpful to you, I’d want to share some other things I do as self care that helps me TREMENDOUSLY each day as a Caretaker. ~Somatic Therapy and/or exercises. It was the last thing I thought would actually work, but holy cow I feel so much relief mentally and physically. Being a caretaker has its physical challenges, but the mental toll it takes is far greater. I was referred to someone’s program, but you can look up free somatic exercises and find the exact ones basically that I do. If you want the one I have, I can give you the info too. It’s a website and has pre recorded videos you follow each day for 8-15 min max. I do them in the morning to set my day but you can do them before bed too. ~Mouth Guard- I know they’re expensive and so difficult to get used to, but they work. Most insurances now allow the first set for $150 & if you loose or need a new one within 2-4 yrs (depends) then it’s like $500. It’s greatly reduced my headaches I wake up with. ~Acupuncture. There are spots you can push by your ear that help release the muscle. It’s not as effective as Dr.Fields, but I use it more in public when I find myself clenching. ~Mindfulness- I know it’s what every doc says to do- be mindful and check in with yourself a few times a day. Well it works and you’ll find out the exact tasks and feelings that bring it on; that way you can take deep breaths thru the nose and a strong exhale with a sound or sigh to help release tension in your body including your jaw. Look up what causes TMJ or the psychological reasons for it and you’ll understand immediately as a Caretaker why it happens. We hold in so much for the sake of others to spare them any pain when that’s exactly what we get in return. Chronic pain, unexplained physical symptoms, and a constant restless mind. I hold back my tongue a lot and it’s the number 1 reason for TMJ. Killing your voice, your experience, and your feelings. I know slowing down with a busy house is impossible, but doing these things above & journaling your days thoughts, anger’s, joys will greatly help reduce the chronic pain and inflammation in your body that is causing your bodies physical responses. I wish you all the best & if you ever need someone to talk to just message me! ❤ I’ll be thinking of you & the health of all your family. - Amanda

I started going thru your playlist for TMJ & Sleep Apnea recently. Love all of them, but I saw this one for the first time today and it was a big hit for me in particular. Big THANK YOU! I've had some holistic dentists recommend releasing the same muscles you talk about here, but that never became a daily practice, so it's about time to make it so. I appreciate your understanding of the anatomy (instructions to show exact location like the pterigoids are super helpful), the mind-body connection and importance of forgiveness. I'm in the healing space as well and know a really powerful forgiveness method to resolve specific events from our past. As you probably already know, memories from our past get lodged in our tissues, so I see forgiveness work as a great complement to the biomechanics work we're doing in your videos. It's when we resolve those specific events that our healing process makes a breakthrough. I've had my biomechanical habits shift immediately many times. Happy to share more via PM if interested. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge & energy with us. Much love.

I did TMJ 1&2 last night...first night sleep in weeks💗 When I was washing my hair today, I felt like wow there’s a lot of tension/sore in my head, how odd.. Then this tmj3 shows up and ah ha! ..now we get the skull tension released too. U prob hear this a lot but ur magic! I was ready yesterday to schedule a cortisone shot, which I’m really reactive to, but I was that desperate-then I did both sets of exercises and slept like a normal human. Now, my head feels better-my hair doesn’t “hurt” anymore and I feel like “me” again. Ty very much for creating these series!!!

Same thing with me! I’m glad someone said it. Been super stressed, pain started by where my ear and jaw meet, then started radiating down my neck. Then the sore, strained muscles. Suffering for weeks with pain, then the lymph node under my jaw, and the one down by my ear lobe got puffy. Been to the doctor 4x in 3 months. Never said it could be TMJ. But just a few days ago the pain went to the other side as well, then that side was popping when I woke up. Then the headaches in the morning and soreness and tightness all around my neck. This is my second day doing these exercises… and doing them 3x a day. So glad I found this doc and these videos!
