Have you guys considered making an episode about 2d workflows? Like how to get from an idea to finished pieces. This is essential for bigger projects and there are so many approaches to it also in respect to the target medium (story, research, references, studies, thumbnails, sketches, POV-choices, staging, composition, gestures, action lines, proportions, forms, clear shapes, values, depth, rendering, color, effects, touchups ...). What to include .. and in what order? Would be fun to hear your inputs on that.

I felt my soul rising, thumping, descending, as though one is in front of a great ravine and, at any moment, a man, might snuck up on me and push me into this ravine, my life, disappearing in an instant and that no one except this man will find out I had died or I am falling until my body is finally discovered. "I am falling? Yes, and will it end here? Without any ceremony nor peace? Before I can even say goodbye to my loved ones? Yes! My God! How can it end here-" before suddenly a loud knock is heard and I can only see darkness. In other words, very excited to watch this episode guys! Really nice to have some chatter in the background when I draw (Things just haven't been the same since you guys finish draftsmen a hundred year ago u,_u,), so really grateful to finally get more of these >^

I definitely think it's better for students to do lots of small, but finished projects (2months tops) to gain a lot of experience and portfolio material fast. It's a common thing in student animation films, that the scenes you animated at the start of the year don't match the ones you did at the end of the year, because you improved so much over that time. At the moment, I'm doing a short film in my spare time while working as an animator, and it's taking years. The difficult thing about it is having to axe all my other home projects to make room for it, but I enjoy the time I spend working on it, which is the main thing for me

Something funny happens to the audio around the end (~1h10min), it sounds like you go inside little containers. I enjoyed this episode a lot! Both of you have relatable qualities when it comes to projects. It's really motivational to see someone else (Marshall in this case) to have stated he is going to do a big project (the perspective course) and despite being joked about over the years of "when it's going to be done", you completed it as you said you would (I didn't doubt it but it hits different when it's really there now). The biggest enemy of my own projects is when other people belittle and joke that I will never complete them, it makes me inevitably think about the negative words while I do the project and it really sours the mood. I wish I could turn that around, complete things out of spite but that sort of energy is very short lived in my system. I guess there's another reason why not speaking about your projects can be good. I also really relate to the quality of Stan thinking "no" as the default and only saying yes when it's something that matters and can also be done. People often really dislike being told no, and it makes me often feel like I'm the only "inconvenient" one because I keep telling people no and they really dislike me for it. But it would haunt me way more to say yes to everything and not be able to deliver any of the promises, I would probably be paralyzed by anxiety, so being disliked is way less bad.

6:40 i have a story about a more impactful short project than longer ones. I once saw a post of a duck seen from below, it looked just like that meme of Principal Skinner saying "Pathetic" where he had the dramatic lightning from below. So i made a quick digital painting of that duck with the same dramatic lightning and saying Pathetic, just for the giggles, took me about 1 1/2 hours, quickest painting i ever did in my life, posted it in the comments. I was surprised to to gather about 1k likes or so. Then someone told me to post it on Displate cause it's cool. I did and then forgot about it for a couple of months. One day i remembered about it and decided to check my displate shop. I made 70 bucks in that period, and then it quickly exploded to make about 10K in 4 months. 48k two years later to this day. To my frustration, that damn duck, made in about one hour, is selling more like 99% of the time more than anything i painted for weeks and months on end. I still love my Pathetic Duck but i wish more of my paintings would have at least 1/10th of that success. sheesh

I've asked you before very nicely not to use religious imagery as your covers for the podcasts on KZbin. Is your choice of Christian imagery because you are mindful of offending other cultures, but Christianity is fair game? I would agree that most of the images are kitsch and poor art, but to swap out the heads of God and Christ seems at least an error of taste. If you don't understand the basic point, you shouldn't be doing it, but if you set out to offend, I wonder why. Perhaps you can explain what you are doing.
