Thank you once again to John of APD for sharing his expertise into carb tuning and to DragBoss for bringing this to us. At the racetrack, the combination of the right parts along with the right tune and adjustments is what ultimately separates winners from also-rans. Same goes for a reliable, well-performing piece on the street. "Always seeing and learning something new at DragBoss Garage."

Thanks Bill. I like that saying, try to keep to it. Good info you only get from real life experience not from a book. It’s all the little details that make you faster than the next guy with similar combo.

Thank Tim for another educational video. I’m very interested in the carburetor with no squirters. I wonder if they’ll be simpler to tune. I’m foot breaking my mustang. It does make sense to have a little bit of clearance on the accelerator pump arm-spring. Thanks for a great video.

David Vizard and Eric Weingartner is experimenting with big cfm carburetors on a big block Chevy. The twin blade would be an awesome test . Especially with a 4150 flange. DV is trying to convince companies to put a 4500 flange or modify a 2 plane intake believe it or not. The twin blade might solve the problem.

Well Don, John said he would hook me up, so I will have to test it. And see how it works. 4509 dual plane, not sure on that one.

I've been thinking for 35 years why the pump discharge is up top/so far from the manifold
@DragBoss351Cleveland3 ай бұрын
I have thought that for 35 years, but started to think about since I made this video. We will have to get the scoop on that one.

Yep made a mistake on a Quadrajet thinking putting an stiffer spring on the accelerator pump would be smart. But no. I accelerated great for 1 second then fell off. I measured the discharge ports and they were on the larger side.

Yes took me some time to get a handle on carb adjustments. Always liked my buds olds 350 with a Quad, man those secondary kick in, loved that sound and feel.
