When it comes to your shooter...... Size does matter, pun intended. Thanks for pointing out the difference between tuning a carburetor for the drag strip as opposed to the circle track. Pump size, cam shape and squirter size, very different and very important. Another great video thank you. 👍😎🏁

Thanks AC, I also never really heard good, clear tuning advice with differentiation between both styles. Def got a way better understanding.

This series has been my favorite of all your videos......I enjoy most the actual build and then the subsequent tuning and tweaking of the package to get the most out of what was built.

Metered fuel only has to be an advantage, never did like the concept of acc circuit nozzles delivering fuel at any point other than when its diaphragm forced. If there's a new way to prevent acc pump evacuation... there's another way to modify existing circuitry to prevent venturi forced evacuation. Being pump diaphragms handle those powerful absorption springs on the mechanical linkage, stands to reason a check valve could be introduced to the circuit to impede on evacuation forces after the shot. Under the blades, Outstanding !

Right on brother. No draw through the boosters and only needing half the pump shot too. Thanks.

More good and helpful information from John brought to us by DragBoss. Carb squirter size, pump shot duration controlled by the accelerator pump cam and the capacity of the accelerator pump itself can make the difference between stumble or no stumble and winning or losing in competition. Thank you to DragBoss and John for this. Cool lower accelerator squirter development too! Stay tuned!

Thanks Bill appreciated. Yes I thought this was a great discussion, especially with the different driving styles of Drag V circle track. Yes they have advanced designs, pun intended. Have a great Sunday

Also there is 14.7 lbs. Per square inch of air pressure helping to get the air and fuel into the engine .other wise ,a 4 stroke engine would be a real dog with just relying on the piston to do the job.

Hey Drag boss I noticed not to long ago you did live chat with Darren Morgan which is pretty cool does he still port head and does he do cast iron heads just curious. And I am also looking for aftermarket cast iron SBC head like protopline EQ or Rhs 200cc 50cc chamber heads or 220

No he does not care to do iron. Not saying he won’t. Those heads are out there. Look in yellow bullet classifieds.

So just a quick question related to accelerator pump squirters....has anyone tried those Thompson Power Plates? Are they beneficial, or just a gimmik?
@DragBoss351Cleveland2 ай бұрын
I think gimic. Causes to much overspray of fuel, that is my thoughts.
