"Dragon Age but I accidentally built a Monk instead of a Rogue." Funny enough, that is basically what happened in my Pathfinder game. Our party's Rogue eventually fought with just his fists and it was actually somehow viable. What a wild run that was though. I'm pleasantly surprised to see a Dragon Age video; nobody talks about it nearly enough.

@@krisisgaming Setting the 4GB_AWARE flag on any 32-bit executable that requires any reasonable amount of memory is basically mandatory. Compatibility shims for modern hardware can be memory-hungry.

Hey what a coincidence! I was just starting a playthrough only using darkspawn items. This includes items they drop like the magic dagger. And a item that can be roleplayed as such (it was a chasind robe or something in ostigar).

@@krisisgaming not to bad actually. I thought it would be kinda hard but early on punching people is easy enough I'm sure it will get much harder soon. I can't wait to get some of the unique gear like the bow and hammer from the genlocke forge master I think my biggest issue is going to be survivability with the mediocre shields and little armor. I think it would be interesting to see you do something like that themed rums are fun. Another idea is perhaps beating the game without any human/elf/dwarf you could be a shape shifter, have dog and shale and if needed add sten.

@@krisisgaming That's so weird because mine runs stable at max and has for years and years. This also happened with KH1.5-2.5 on PC where everyone else has nightmare crashes but I never saw a single issue finishing all of them on Critical multiple times

you should’ve also probably done the elves first for your mage characters, learning arcane warrior gives them the ability to make strength checks with magic. Just more food for thought if you want to do a remaster… But it is seriously a great specialization for a mage character with so many buffs and enables you to use your mage to heal as well as keep the nature of the challenge.

Honestly, missed opportunity in the Redcliffe quest to kill Connor instead of sacrifice Isolde to blood magic because if you insist on just killing Connor to kill the demon, you punch Isolde and knock her out to stop her from getting in your way. Perfect for a fist only run!

I vividly remember you showing the scene sacrificing isolde to blood magic that I didn’t register you had to go back and kill Connor as the demon (and have him at like 1hp before he killed you first too). I enjoyed the video, but you needing to jump around due to difficulty and changing the approach of things confused me when going through the timeline of what happened. Not your fault!

To make mages not cast spells at all on their own. Go into Tactics, select the mage, and either disable tactics, or select custom 1, 2 or 3 as they are empty the A.I have nothing to go on. So they only use auto-attacks.

I recently played DAO again and did the city elf origin. My guy was so ugly he made yours look like a model. I hated the cousin at first but he turned out to be a chad in battle and earned my respect.

Dude that first Ogre fight is so brutal. 3.5 hours?! And one mistake could have ended that attempt. No ma'am. I am doing my first ever Nightmare run and it's on console. I get my ass kicked everytime on that fight even on Normal. I am scared to see what it is like this time. I'll definitely try the circle strat.

Trust me, it looks silly, but the circle strat is amazing if you have taunt abilities, just make sure to keep refreshing it and don’t run in too big of a loop or else your companions won’t be able to keep up and do dmaage

When the Archdemon leaves the arena you have to shoot it with the ballista's. Although maybe you didn't as that might break the rules of the run. Which is that also why you didn't use the reinforcements mechanic?

The reinforcements practically soloed the areas around denrim, so I wanted to see if I could do that without them. And yes, I didn’t want to use the ballista because it’s not my fists doing the dmaage , so I just focused the adds until the archdemon moved

@@krisisgaming yeah, but in the cast of this game, you just stop using party members that "died." Maybe even make choices that permanently remove characters from your game/killed. I have done most of one, and it's fun to me. You might have to install mods that give you more party members, though. They might start dropping if you aren't careful. This is mostly in jest. But doing it Unarmed might make it impossible to do.

@@krisisgaming Well, DA:O was the first step where they tried to move from their turn-based origins towards more action combat. I think they felt turn-based games were too "limiting" for them. So they moved to middle-ground that is DA:O / DA2 and continued forth. Unfortunately somewhere between DA2 (which was made in unreal short timeframe) and DA:Inquisition they just completely lost any semblance of what the "endpoint" of this moving process was. And looking at Veilkeeper, it seems the end-point is "android game".

it's kinda funny how the inferior console port runs better than the pc version pc version has a lot over the console version but performance isn't one of those things (not to say DAO on console is the best thing ever, there are still missing features and a less stellar UI) (plus, the game at its base i think, has very blurry textures so the game doesn't look as good as it could)

This a problem with older games, I only got the game to run stable after turning every setting to low. The city of denerim was so bad that it would crash every 5 steps I took unless I stared at the ground

I think Inquisition doesnt let you do that, if you unequip your weapon the game gives you a default one
