They didn’t really go into many of the others but it can be assumed that Falon’din has been dead since the first blight. Dumat was likely his archdemon considering in inquisition it’s revealed by Solas that Falon’din was among the most ruthless of the evanuris and desired worshippers above all else. The archdemons are revealed as “thralls” of the evanuris which allow them to be invulnerable as long as the archdemon lives. With his slain by wardens, the Taint of the Black City (their prison) would have consumed Falon’din along with the rest of them as their arch demons were subsequently slain. This is also why Solas has a disgust for grey wardens, they are unknowingly destroying anchors to the veil

Ah yes, the ancient elvhen language... Which the ancient elves apparently didn't use. Also, hearing an ancient elvhen general say "asshole" along with the terribly written dialog (endless, endless exposition dumps) and a "free" elf wearing Vallaslin... Ugh...
@theelderworm9134Ай бұрын
Wow. K. Let me explain. It's in English because the players can't speak elven. Just swapping the language is incredibly common for flashbacks like this. Non issue. He may be a general to the wolf's forces, but he's still just a rebel, fighting in a rebellion. I'm sure a few curse words can be forgiven. A bad word is a non issue. The flashbacks serve as exposition dumps, that's the whole point of them. Otherwise, it would be in a codex entry. Non issue. Felassan had vallasaline in the book, the masked empire, which takes place AFTER this. Which means, to honor continuity, they had to give him tattoos on a free elf. Non issue. There is actually issues with the game that could be focused on. General Felassan saying a naughty word isn't one of them, clown

@@theelderworm9134i will add for felassan that he chose to keep his vallaslin, likely due to having remaining loyalties to mythal.

@@theelderworm9134 it's obviously not about it being in english. It's that when they use very modern words for the time and setting they are supposed to be in and/or a character so old he is from a completely different time, it takes us out of the immersion as it actually makes it sound dumb/silly. It's as if someone would have written a "fantasy for dummies" book. Not even a 100 years ago would people use the word "asshole" like that. The word "asshole" isn't a very sophisticated word for an ancient elf either. Doesn't fit.
@theelderworm913421 күн бұрын
@LiMaking The time and setting they're supposed to be in? Bro, this isn't a documentary. This is a FICTIONAL time and FICTIONAL setting. You're letting your preconceptions on real history inform your opinion on fiction. It's a world with different history, and different ways that people learned to speak. Basically, this game doesn't match your personal interpretation of what medival people acted and talked like. But that critique could be used for any game that takes place is medieval setting. Witcher, Skyrim, even Zelda, don't actually match reality, but it matches what most people like to consider 'medieval sounding.' But it is literally all false when compared to 'setting they're supposed to be' It's the same argument as 'Skyrim dragons aren't dragons, they're wyverns because legs' but no, Bethesda gets to decide that Skyrim dragons have two legs. And now we get this idiot who uses his own misinformed understanding of the past to make stupid points. Literally who fkn cares if fellassan calls him as asshole? Who are you to decide how sophisticated ancient elves talk, lol. "Not even 100 years ago did they speak like that" like brother, dragon age is not set in our world. Different world, different rules. Your dumbass logic fails in every regard.

@@eastbow6053 Your opinion is subjective to you. What you may think is bad might not be bad to another person. Personally whilst I don't think the game is perfect, I also don't think it's bad. I think it's a good 7/10 because the combat is fun, the story is good, and there are good looking atmospheres. The game answered many questions with leaving room for more. I think they left it in a good spot to grow and expand or to leave as is
