This game completely disregards/ignores many possible choices you can make about the companions/advisors in Inquisition. Harding mentions Josephine, Cullen, Leliana, Sera, Blackwall, Cole. Let's lay it out: 1. Nothing to be said about Josephine. She has no fate that would contradict the way Harding speaks of her to my knowledge. 2. If Cullen was told to keep taking lyrium, then he becomes a homeless beggar and lyrium addict. No matter what and regardless if romanced, inquisition disbanding or being a peacekeeping force. Hell, it's even implied in this ending that Harding puts him out of his misery. She certainly would remember this. Remember, Veilguard takes place 10 years after Inquisition. It is said in this ending that Cullen was found by Harding a YEAR after Trespasser. There's no excuse for this. 3. Leliana's case isn't as bad as some of the others, but Leliana can become Divine Victoria or just straight up disappear into nothingness as one of her endings as said in Trespasser if the Hero of Fereldan killed her during the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest. She's a lyrium ghost if killed in Origins. 4. You can avoid recruiting Sera altogether, kick Sera out, or piss her off so much that she'd leave. If these happen it wouldn't make sense for Harding to know her well or at all. 5. In Veilguard, it seems to be implied that Blackwall decided to go by his true identity, Rainier. That would make sense once Corypheus is destroyed even if he does perpetuate the lie. However, if Blackwall becomes a Warden and is romanced, he dies. If he's not romanced it is said that he disappears. It's also possible for Blackwall it be executed by Orlesian law. 6. Probably the one that pisses me off the most is how Harding speaks about Cole. It seems with the way Harding speaks about Cole that he's more "spirit" than "human," which feels like the choice we're left with in Inquisition to dictate that path for him is also ignored. The biggest reason why how Harding speaks of Cole bothers me is because it's possible to have Cole abandon the Inquisition if his approval is low enough. Why is this a big deal? Well, he can make literally EVERYONE in the Inquisition forget he existed. This is even stated in the codex after he abandons you. The codex will say: The Inquisition knows of no one by this name. This means that Harding shouldn't even remember him at all in the case of Cole abandoning the Inquisitor. Honorable Mention: Solas also mentions Cole and that brings up the same problems I mentioned with how Harding mentions him. Also, Solas says that he considered the Inquisitor a friend. This also goes against the fact that you can have extremely low approval with Solas. Although he won't leave you, he won't like either. You can even punch him in the face lol. Sooo, yeah. Good job ignoring the Dragon Age Keep, BioWare. You fucked up the possible player choices from the previous games.

Man... So many of the decisions you made as an Inquisitor, were just kicked down the swears dont they... (To be fair I dont know if this were the decsions of the owner of this gameplay) - So you still at the service of the Chantry and you never disbanded - Cole stayed as a spirit and never make peace with his human past. - You never help to treat Cullen's addiction and withdrawls from Lyrium - All of your accomplishments as Inquisitor and specially all your sacrifices, and loses and you just get an honorable mention... Not even a chance to team up with a character most essentially to the story of the Dreadwolf. Honestly this doesnt say much, it really feels like Veilguard tries to distant itself extremely as possible from Inquisition events and characterssl.

This dialogue only happens if the inquisition isn't disbanded. If it isn't, it seems they just made a few hard canon choices rather than import them like in old games. Nothing too major, but still awkward for role playing. -Sera, Blackwall, and Cole were all recruited instead of either rejected or kicked out -The dialogue seems to cater more towards Spirit Cole, but doesn't say for sure. -Cullen always had a lyrium addiction. Whether he was helped with it or not is left out of the conversation. -Leliana's dialogue cleverly plays vague on whether she is Divine or not. You could headcanon it that Cassandra or Vivienne are divine but nothing says otherwise.

Would have loved to be able to play as Inqy again, especially with a missing limb. Like how badass would it have been to be able to have a class-specific magical prosthetic? How cool would it have been to have a magical crossbow/grappling hook arm for a rogue? Or a sick infinity gauntlet kind of thing for a warrior, letting you straight up bitch slap foes or going full berserker like God of War and let you just pound on enemies? Mage could have had a sick no-staff gameplay - would have loved to play arcane warrior again, swinging a massive 2h weapon while casting spells out of my fade gauntlet? With how the combat was, shit could have been insane with the inquisitor. It would also have been so sick to have been part of all the battles in between DAI and DAV. Inqy fighting in the streets of Minrathous, gathering info with shadow dragons. Maybe fighting in Seheron and having to survive the fog warriors, qunari, and crazy venatori. Traveling with Isabell and the LOF (would have been interesting to meet Isabella given that you could have left her romanced Hawke in the fade) would have led to some awesome ocean/sea battles. Meeting the seekers to further your abilities to resist possession (Solas was summoning loads of demons and spirits, so a fade/possession level similar to Therinfall would have been neat) and to crack down on red lyrium mind control. So many opportunities, all just wasted.

@NeverendingToriАй бұрын
To be fair, The Old Republic was great when it first released. It just suffered from the typical problem that MMOs always run into when they run out of content and the devs feel pressured to release more because people are paying a monthly subscription. I still think it should never have been an MMO in the first place. Single player campaigns have always been what BioWare does best and the initial campaign in SWTOR after it first released still FELT like a single player campaign because of the ability to take a companion character along with you on your adventures, meaning you didn’t necessarily need to play with other people in order to get the full story. It was the later campaigns that alienated a lot of their typical fan base, who were used to single-player campaigns. Higher exp requirements meant you were forced to work with strangers online in order to progress the story and get gear that was actually appropriate for the experience level of the campaign you were trying to play. And people stopped playing because of it, meaning less people to play with, and less overall interest in the game.
