See don't start advocating the benefits. People have played the game and they know how fun it is and how different and fluid the combat is now. But the disadvantages, cringe writing and wokeness is too much to tolerate between the fun. If you don't care about DA lore you'll love this game but if you're the other extreme, you're gonna hate it

I pretty much feel the same way. Love the combat, story is alright. I would say the dialogue is weak but not as awful as people say. Class / specialization / skill variety / gear are all implemented pretty damn well tbh. I feel like I have a bunch of options in character building and don’t think there’s “only one way to play the game” like other people are saying.

Def takes some to get going, once you get mourn watcher things get really damn smooth. Only problem is the darkspawn enemies with high necrotic resistance and the champion bosses that seem to be necrosis immune as well.

Pretty much just focus on shield throws for early game, probably the easiest time I've had with the game so far has been early game shield throwing build. Made the hardest difficulty feel like easy to me.

Me too man, to be completely honest a lot of complaints going around just aren’t clicking with me…I legit can’t find much to complain about when analyzing this game as it’s “own”. If I compare it to like dragon age origins, ya there’s a lot of differences that I’m sure many people hate but I let go of getting a true origins style sequel for a while now.

Ranger is allot of fun!! especially on nightmare XD but is very gear depended if u wanna get allot of dmg output with bow but after lvl 20 it is amazing! combine it with Neve with Chill and Freeze and Darvin with weakness and detonations + your massive weakpoint/headshot charge bow dmg + shock/electric dmg feels amazing

Love your build but think you have to take Shield Volley over Counterblow (the very first point lol) or pick it up later. Chaining shield throws opens up the whole combat and you can have your companions detonate an elite whilst you throws shields at the rank & file. I picked up a unique helmet called Iron Veil which has been a blast too- triggers little necrotic homing missiles on enemy deaths.

Rolling thunder has only about 10 frames to activate properly, and when you hit multiple enemies in a row you constantly get a slowdown effect, which messes up the timing. You basically need to hit it the moment you hit the enemy in front of you on the second spin, when the weapon is physically directly in front of your character.

Please explain: 1) Do character have X% crit chance? If so how do I increase crit chance? 2) What is the most noob friendly way to score a crit? 3) Do you auto hit weak points?

To answer simply - crits are guaranteed under certain conditions. I explain in this build while looking at skills - If you look under advanced condition they’ll say “on critical” you can see what triggers Criticals! Like bell tolls - needs “overwhelm” on target to be a critical. Necrotic abilities crit on targets that also are chilled. Things like this are the easiest way to crit and in the skill descriptions you can see this. You don’t auto hit weak points, you have to aim for the head normally. Some mobs have highlighted purple accents like the dragons that show were the current weakling is as well.

Like if my STAFF or BOW has +30% crit damage how do I best use that perk? 2) Do skill/ abilities cover weak points? 3) What is the most easy/lazy way to score a weak point hit?

1) hover over the skills your using and look at that skills “details”. It says there the critical condition, like for necrotic abilities warrior they need to be chilled. 2) skills and abilities can hit weapons which is normally the head. 3) easiest way is to aim for the head on abilities.

It’s definitely tough because parrying is such a big part of the game and gives uou a huge advantage if you do it properly. If youre playing warrior you could try champion and focus on just blocking. I’ve also been testing a slayer build that can ability spam with emmrich and bellara / neve that doesn’t need to really play defensive at all.

Will putting Cold damage enchantment on my weapon suffice? EDIT: Doesn't look like doing cold damage applies chill, however I just unlocked the Companion enchant that applies chill when I command my Companion to attack my target, works perfectly for enabling Reaper Crits.

I don’t have any defensive bonuses beside what i path towards. Only reason is because the game isn’t that hard and I’m actually attempting to take no damage from every boss if you see my other videos

I did a full playthrough with a mage. 50 hours in and found no bugs. Only thing I noticed once was an enemy turning invisible when I blasted them away of an edge. I saw them falling for a bit and then poof gone.

TBF it's not optional, a party NPCs ENTIRE personality and existence in this Dark Fantasy setting game is based around the political issues of modern society. I don't hate the game either but it's very clear what the devs and writers priorities were and it wasn't about making a good Dragon Age game.

What are your thoughts on the slayer, I was looking for warrior builds but it seems like it's all reaper/shield toss. I saw you're using 2h primarily as well, do you feel like it's too slow or no?

I think Slayer is really good as well, I'm gonna play around with it a bit later. Yea a lot of people are playing warrior at ranged with that but I don't really like spamming shield toss, I rather use that as a filler to generate rage and enable me to auto attack and use abilities. Shield Toss is great though, especially when you get full necrotic version of Shield Toss. 2H is really good, not slow at all and gives you great AOE as well as single target when you need. I love it for bossing as well, charged attacks are huge and satisfying while giving you extra interrupts when you need it. On another note, when it comes to gaming I'm very big on not cheesing the game, or optimizing the fun out of it. I'll always play what I think is cooler or what generally feels better, so yea a 2H Death Knight sounds awesome and it's what I like to play.

Look out for the Elven Rockbreaker for your 2H weapon. 15% Rage Gen, 8 Rage on kill, Enhanced Dam when spending rage 3 times, +50 Max Rage. In the very late game, you can pick up The Last Resort ring if you want to go more glass cannon style. +20% Dam and -20% Res every time you cast an ability, stacking up to 10 times for a whopping 200% damage boost. The buff resets if you dodge or block, so you have to be much more careful about positioning.

Sounds great, I still haven’t been able to upgrade the cold axe yet and I’m lvl 32 just finished siege of weisshupt (spelling wrong my bad). I’ve actually switched to mauls since the damage trade off is low and stagger gains are massive. Forget which mace I’m using now since I’ve had a rough week at work with too much OT.

Its a OK game in terms of gameplay. My dislike is that campenions dont auto attack like in DAI. In DAI they uses magic and such on their own. Here I manage my Rook guy AND them😮😮😮😮

If you're an RPG or a Dragon Age fan you will NOT like this game. This is NOT worthy of the Dragon Age name. That being said, yes the combat is probably the second best thing about this game only behind the visuals. It is incredibly fun and just varied enough without being overwhelming like a BG3 for example and just as flashy as a Diablo 4 for example. It is really fun

Nightmare is perfectly manageable. I’m actually no hitting every boss! Takes time but the game isn’t that difficult especially on nightmare. Only huge issue is that some bosses are resistant to certain damage and honestly if you don’t change your build bosses take forever to kill.

I think it’s bugged but hopefully it gets patched soon. For now I’m focusing on “final attacks” of chains for general mobs. On bosses, I still pretty much use charged heavies for the interruptions and stagger though. The way I build the skill tree we still buff both thankfully.

Will I let my kids play it no but I’m enjoying it. Heard about the hate a bit late into the game. Mostly because there's not enough sex scene even though it's M-Rated and heights of the characters? Kind of reminds me of FFIX early reviews (the height part) and that game ended up becoming one of the best FF series I ever played. This might be a repeat of that experience.

If you hate woke, just try your best to make a superhot chick - key is 0 muscle and half fat before the belly goes out. Then max your hourglass and narrow shoulders. Boom now you have a gym gurl bod. And be assholes to your cringe companions. Other than that, enjoy the combat and the outfits and the pretty scenery. Still wouldn't recommend it full price. Just Rate it Pi.
