Depends on what. DAO had the best roleplaying and story indeed, but combat was a bit meh and exploration was pretty basic. DA2 had better protagonist and better combat. DAI had much better combat and exploration, and some of the best companions in DA.

I would say Bioware is in their death throes, but that studio died years ago when they lost their original senior staff. Mind you, they weren't perfect (e.g. ME3 ending), but they were certainly better than what remains. What's left is a DEI culture more interested in pushing gender politics and social ideology than simply making a great, dark fantasy RPG with player agency. We are instead witnessing the animated, lifeless husk of Bioware pretending to be alive, like one of Emmrich's pets. EA needs to put them out of their (and our) misery.

Companion quests: Have to agree, the "pick up X items" were a real pain! Made me wish for typical "fetch quests" or, worse still "escort quests" and that's saying something!! I 100% agree with the Sacred comparison! I enjoyed Sacred 2 but 3 was dreadful!!

Baldur's Gate 2 was a masterpiece. Dragon Age Origins was perfect. Dragon Age Awakening was good. Dragon Age 2 was good. Dragon Age Inquisition was boring and hinted at stupid things to come resulting in Veilguard.

The more I play viel guard, sadly it just gets worse. They took out the option of being an asshole. The dialogue is completely nurtured to the point where you can't disagree and argue with your companions. Everyone gets along it's all very sterile up beat cheerfulness...voice acting is okay combats got a few redeeming factors, I dunno kinda a deal breaker..wait till it's on sale if your going to try it not worth full price

The main difference ME Andromeda Single Player game made by people who only had multi player experience Lots of technical issues Devs did try to listen to players and fix issues though DA Veilguard Was Single Player, then Multi Player, then Single Player, there is nothing like being clear on your aim! And this is NOTHING like it! Is technically very good, IE no bugs really Dreadful writing Bad companion quests where you will wish for "fetch quests" because they are that bad! Devs just reply to player feedback with answers like "You are all man babies!" Veilguard is worse than Andromeda other than technical ability.

it's just sad. i'm not one to replay games because i have good memory, but i replayed Origins, DA2, and the mass effect trilogy twice because i liked the characters so much. now, so many gaming studios just mass manufacture these shitty games written by shitty people who have never taken a single writing class in their life and are vapid, shallow, soul-less beings themselves so any character they "write" is just a soul-less reflection of their own shitty, superficial personalities. the average fanfic writer writes better than this. Veilguard's main character is as soul-less as Mass Effect Andromeda's. I'm sure there's at least one good black lgbt writer out there, but they hire based purely on skin color now. Inquisiton was kinda bad but at least there were some bight spots, like Dorian and the complex character of Solas (even though i hated Solas, i cannot deny he is an interestingly written character). And now people on reddit defend this shit. Standards are so low now. People call us haters, but can't they see that we are just disappointed?

Your review could not be more partial. By putting the game on a level that it clearly doesn't have, you make it clear how spoiled you are and what really bothers you is that the game went towards a more narrative aspect. The combat is great, the best in the series so far. It would need more tactical options, but combat in any of the previous games is boring and monotonous. And yes, I can speak with confidence, since I've been playing since Origins launched. We have good and bad teammates in the game, like everyone else. Davrin is one of the best companions in the series, and you called him "dog shit". This clearly shows that you're just a spoiled KZbinr who thinks that to solve anything it needs to be the way you want. For everyone who wants to try the game, it's worth it. It's not perfect, and it's inferior to Origins and Inquisition. However, it's a cool game, with epic moments and a very good main story (infinitely superior to DA2). As for the KZbinr here, I hope he starts to be more honest in his reviews.

@@viniciosmartins1279 All reviews are biased. The quality of the game is sub par even if you were to only judge the game by the metric of the other games in the series. If you judge it by the standard of other action games in it's category it scores even less. When 1/6th of the game is passable and the other 5/6ths are low quality filler, the game is dog shit. I'm not saying theres no fun to be had, I enjoy some dog shit games but to say it is a good game is a big stretch.
