I'll be playing a Self-insert Shadow Dragon evoker mage!

My pipedream was going to be a slightly deluded Dalish who wanted to 'save' their gods but since I know that isn't happening, so I might instead make a veiljumper who likes spirits more than people. Alternatively I've been considering a Grey Warden who really wanted to be a scientist and is torn between the mortal peril of blighted gods and discovering the truth about the taint.

Definitely playing as a Mage straight away. Every Dragon Age game I've started as a Mage. Plus I think the Shadow Dragon background will be the go to for mages as you'll recover mana faster to keep pumping out magical attacks. But everyone knows the first BIG boss in the game will be character creation, the place where tons of hours will be dumped into.

I’m actually playing through Inquisition for the first time now on my Series X and holy cow the game is holding up after 11 years ! I think for Veilguard I’m going with either a Rogue Trap specialist or a Mage Deathcaller !

The character creator in this game is bit like Baldur’s Gate 3 or Dragon’s Dogma 2’s character creation, but it has its own unique style with the hairstyles, tattoos and the faction options. Here are my Rooks and their factions for Veilguard 1. Denji, Male Elf Warden, Champion 2. Sophitia, Female Dwarf Fortune Lord, Slayer 3. Touka, Female Human Crow, Dualist 4. Raziel, Male Qunari Shadow Dragon, Evoker A few more if I’m in the mood to play more 1. Shizuka, Female Elven Veil Jumper, Veil Ranger 2. Kratos, Male Dwarven Warden, Reaper 3. Velvet, Female Qunari Mourn Watcher, Death Caller 4. Shionne, Female Elven Crow, Sabetour 5. Dart, Male Human Shadow Dragon, Spell Blade

I’d definitely choose Mage with a Specialization in either Evoker or Spellblade with a background in either Shadow Dragons or Veil Jumpers. More likely Shadow Dragons,

Aulus Cornelius Celsus wrote a medical journal where he outlined breast reductions, and many other cosmetic surgeries in the first century. Cosmetic surgeries were often done on those with natural deformities and deformities for battle. It stopped for several hundred years because the Bible forbade people from altering their bodies.

For my first playthrough, the plan is - either elf or Human, male, Shadow dragon's. Warrior class. Romancing either Taash or Neve, not sure which yet. However but that's likely my team. Neve will focus on being the healer/ranger while Taash and rook focus on being the powerhouses.

The way I understand it (might be wrong) you can choose face presets with the features you like. Then make some of them more pronounced than the others. And then you can adjust individual features (like eye size or tilt etc).

Unfortunately, that is a level of inclusion that requires genuine time and money to implement: A single character skin isn’t that much extra effort for the art team - mirroring all the animations essentially means twice the work, which = “No” from a development standpoint Realistically, it should be the second most represented thing in all games since it’s like 1/10 of every human on the planet, but apparently no one gives a crap about that, because people are rarely beaten or killed tor being left handed (at least, not anymore)

In Dragon Age Lore, Dwarves are cut off from the Fade, and can't use magic, or dream. This is due to their immunity to Lyrium, the crystalized essence that exists in the world as a physical representation of magic. Dwarves lived and evolved underground, mining Lyrium and selling it, or using it in potions and other craft, which gave them their immunity over thousands of years, but cut off their ability to use magic.

DOS2 is brilliant - I love playing as Fane - but Veilguard is a Dragon Age game, so the classes are more about the ongoing BioWare story than old school TTRPG mechanics. If you'd rather not play it, that's fine. Playing more DOS2 is definitely an option. Enjoy!
