Qunari Grey Warden is a fascinating choice. There hasn't been a companion OR protagonist like that in the series before. I'd considered a Saarebas warden in particular, that might be fun.

Post release edit: Nothing in this game is interesting. It's written by a bunch of amatours. Gameplay gets tiring quickly and story/writing is pure manure.

Why do Qunari objectively softer? This roman race the lives to conquer other land and with a spartan look where they train day and night. Why did they make the horns to forehead so smooth!?!? They honestly look like a rough draft of tieflings.

I feel they have "portrait face" where their faces appear to much in the center of a fleshy box canvas. It's so unnatural and once you really notice it's hard not to see.

Least played race was Qunari on Inquisition so their mentality was "They didn't like the race because they weren't too pretty, lets make 'em pretty!" Only the DA2 Qunaris looked awesome but that was in a different engine so not easy to replicate with this frostbite...

that's not how Qunari culture is according to lore, they're very far from "Spartans", they're just very regimented so that someone chosen to be a soldier will be a soldier, someone chosen to be a cook has to be a cook, the reason the Qunari you see in the other games are hardened is because you mostly interact with Qunari warriors

So you cant make a bulky warrior character. No arm size or leg size slider. The chest size slider is a joke, on both males and females. Arm length isnt a thing either. So there are only dwarves with human proportions. I hope mods will be able to fix this.

Hmmm, looks like the elfs no longer will look weird anymore. Tho kind of sad that, Dragon age will then lose their own version of elfs (more so the once in DA2) but DAI as well. Thats a shame kind of, as Elder scrolls has their own version of elfs like Altmers has always look more alien then Tolkin elfs. Made me never wanna play as them, but it does make them more unique ^^ Tho mods could change that, make them look more....nicer? :D Less alien, more human. I guess is a taste thing I guess?

Overall it looks like a mixed bag, the graphical quality for the hair looks incredible and the presets aren’t ugly like in inquisition but the art style looks awkward and clashes with the tone of dragon age, and the Quanari have been absolutely butchered

Definitely more in depth than any Bioware game before I'm quite happy with the beard options. I probably won't mess with the sliders too much whenever I adjust them I always seem to make characters that just don't look quite right but hey good they're there for the people who enjoy using them.

I like that you managed to get a pretty cool looking dwarf in about 15 minutes. I enjoy character creators as much as the next person, but I want to get into the game, so knowing I can create and go like this is really nice. I think it won't be hard to make a good looking character like it was with some of the other Dragon Age games.

Hide hair option! The ability I never knew I needed. Gone are the days of picking my hair then changing to a really short one to build the head and makeup, then switching back to the first hair only to change my mind.

All your concerns regarding the UI and glowing objects can be adjusted in the settings. They've mentioned this before and IGN also released a short video showing exactly these.

All of my concerns? Not from my experience. I turned as much I could off and some annoying things still were showing / glowing. On top of that the game feels like it's designed to have several of these elements on. Turning them off may solve one problem only to create another non UI related. With all that said I need to test this stuff more / maybe they will improve this aspect before official release.

Awesome Vid wolf! I cant help but noticed the Qunari faces look like the Moai statues from Easter island. Some of the designs of the characters look like sheer clean no detail plastic playdoh looks.. just looks weird and not very DA. Even the 7 years old character creation of Conan Exiles looks far way better then this. But cringest thing is... Plastic surgery scars in a fantasy game are probably the final stage. What's next? Cut d....? How can a company like BioWare, published by EA, even approve something like this? And then with an age rating of 16. That's sick...

EA is beholden to BlackRock, which literally forces behavior changes through the projects they fund (your company, game, show, or movie will not get funding if it doesn't adhere to ESG/DEI metrics). Go ahead and check out the CEO of BlackRock openly saying he will force societal behavior changes by denying funding. Its social engineering and Its sickening.
