Clearly the modern audience found the Astrarium puzzles in Inquisition too hard
@przemyslawwasowski74502 ай бұрын
Well, some of them were indeed difficult. People also were CONSTANTLY complaining about the fade quest in origins. They often say that it's the worst part of the game. Mostly because they fail to recognise patterns and algorythms. All it takes is to detect in which sequence you need to go to certain parts of the fade. Unlike astrariums the fade in origins is mandatory element of the game. But even then, when certain astrariums happen to be too difficult for me, I simply resigned from doing them and came back later OR went on wiki and find solutions that someone smarter happen to share that it can be done. I stand with my standpoint and modern games are made to be more and more idiotproofed. From the sims 1 where your sims could die because of the gust of the wind to the sims 4 where they simply refuse to die under any circumstances UNLESS you REALLY want it and ACTIVELY try to do so. From unforgiving Baldur's Gate 1 (original, not EE) where survival was really difficult to BG3 where you can make difficulty such that you won't have any problem with any enemy at all, from dragon age origins where sometimes you can look after a "third" answer, a smart way to have it all and not choose and live with consequences of every standard option to DAV where choice was never an option.

@przemyslawwasowski74502 ай бұрын
@@sanderkiki Honestly, I can't relate because I haven't played them, but I believe you. Still, imagine how frustraited I was when I was around 10 and I've got a riddle in BG2 about age of prince and princess which involved quite advanced math, I mean, more advanced than the one I knew at that time. Or riddles in Lionheart or even those in mage origin in DA:O. People sometimes need to either think harder or simply reload save. And it's not a matter to be stressed about, but apparently some people can't stand even the smallest failures. There are games like Portal or Shift happen that are ALL about riddles and puzzles. Are those-whose-names-cannot-be-named too insecure, impatient, or god knows what else to even try intellectual stimulation?
