If both Goku and Vegeta fight each other in their SSJ form, that means it will lead to the other what if scenarios like in the Cell arc and Majin Buu arc, Trunks doesn't exist because Vegeta is not on earth anymore. I can't say that is a good plot but I like it at all.

Trunks would exist vegeta is deemed his rival. It’sa sayain nature to push themselves to new heights. I can see him coming back to settle the score lose or end in a draw then stay at earth for a bit to recover then meet bulma.

Man see this is why I don’t like modern goku. Goku really gonna let vegeta live after he killed innocent namekians by that point goku would realize the threat that vegeta has. Goku literally killed Frieza in the future timeline for the same reason he wasn’t letting him go again why are they ignoring gokus character development??? Even manga or Kai goku would that 💀
