There are 3 main types of fictional time travel. Back to the Future = butterfly effect, anything can change the future. Avengers = changes split timelines. Terminator 1 = You can't change anything, everything you do already happened. DB operates on Avengers rules.

Two things: Goku also didn't know what Marriage was when Chichi first brought it up. He thought it was food, so this naivete is sort of par for the course for him lol. Secondly, people are saying it's a mistranslation, which is only half true. The original dialogue is purposefully ambiguous for the joke. Vegeta and Goku *could* be talking about two different things, or maybe they are talking about the same thing. Goku: "Woah Trunks, you actually put your mouth up against hers?" Vegeta: "You've never done that? Goku: "Of course not" Vegeta: "But you're married!" Goku: "What does being married have anything to do with this?"

There's actually this funny little comic strip going around the internet that kind of explains the whole kissing scene away. It's funny because it shows Goku and Chichi in bed as he is explaining what happened to her. And she's just a confused as he is, it really makes the scene because he looks to her and asks, "am I supposed to mama bird you?" And then Chichi response, "Goku I don't know what Bulma and Vegeta are into." What are the favorite fan theories is that Chichi is just as naive as Goku when it comes to relationships, and considering how she grew up it's not that hard to believe.😂

I'm glad you two brought it up because we all feel the same about Goku in Super. At times, writers like to push Goku's stupidity in Super, because he wasn't this dumb in Z. Goku forgetting the Senzu beans irritates me. In Z, Goku and Krillin are the only ones in the show that remember to stock up on senzu beans and everyone else just relies on them to always have some on them.

2:43 this is how time travel works at least in dragon Ball. 😅 The truth is that you can experiment with time travel in any way you like as long as it's consistent. For example whatever you do in your past should affect your future. Enough time doesn't work like that then I will have to be based off multiverse theory for example Whatever you do in the past will not affect the future because it has already happened. Trunks saving Goku in the past would not affect the Goku that died in his timeline because it happened in a parallel universe at a different point in time.

Yes, the kissing thing is confusing and done for comedy. Goku used to be innocent and naive about everything not related to fighting and that made him funny and adorable when he was a kid. As an adult though they've just turn him into borderline mentally challenged. Like the whole "whoops I forgot the senzu beans" didn't used to be a Goku thing to do, but they do it now for comedy relief. It just feels like as he experienced the world and the universe instead of learning and growing he just devolved and got dumber. I guess you could argue CTE 🤷🏽‍♂

Yeah the Goku doesent know kissing bit is at least a good explanation for why Chi Chi is so angry all the time. As said before the sex scene was from abridged witch isn't directly canonical to Super so that isn't exactly relevant here. The big twist is that Goku black is actually Zamasu as well making us wonder who is Zamasu or maybe even when is Zamasu. Its of course funny that they can only work together with eachother because of narcisism. The fact that they have a nice vacation spot is actually a core part of Zamasus ideology as they belive that mortals are a blight on it and sully the world. This is of course undermined by the fact that they themselvs destroy so much to eradicate the mortals but this is something that Goku black at least has lamented and they see it as a necesary evil for their coming utopia free of mortals. Zamasu had ideals that twisted them into something much worse hell Friza is probably the only one to be more of a petty asshole while Zamasus multiversal scale is probably the pinacel of evil. We have seen why Zamasu fell to this path and how they have embraced this depravity witch is a tradgedy because they could have been better in a perfect world. Next episode its the big banger reveal stay tuned folks.

Okay so, for the kissing scene, the original Dialogue reads as follows: "How can you put your mouths together like that?" "You've...never done it before?" so you could go with the idea that Goku was refering to the Mama Bird feeding while vegeta was reffering to Kissing, but you also have to remember that DBS isnt the best written show out there, they constantly have characters need to learn leasons they already learned and not know about things we've literally seen them do, so, that's your answer.

Yeah this is kind of one of those episodes where they take the "Goku is stupid" Trope way too far. I also think it's a mistranslation because the idea Goku doesn't know what kissing is, that is just way too far. Irregardless one of the biggest criticisms that gets held against dragon Ball super is that they made Goku way too stupid and they don't understand his character. Goku is socially inept because he lived in the woods and has no formal education, but he's not stupid. In fact in dragon Ball z there are many times where Goku proves himself to be one of the smartest people in the show. From using Yakons energy absorption abilities against him to destroy him in a single blow. Teaching Goten and T😊runks the fusion technique. Throwing the frog at Captain Ginyu to switch him back from his body. He figured out Hits' Time skip ability, which took advanced deduction and math to predict. Figure out that he couldn't defeat perfect cell and put Gohan in a position in which he could defeat perfect cell, also all the stuff where he figured out that Super Saiyan grade 2 and grade three were worthless techniques, something Trunks couldn't figure out.

That kissing joke scene never sat well with anyone. People always said DBS made Goku a lot dumber (and it did) and this is one of those moments. The best I can say to try and salvage this is that it was supposed to be a "joke" where Goku is talking about giving sensu beans with a kiss and Vegeta misunderstands that it is about kissing, period, and they both talk past each other.
