Frieza saying "that's a new one" is doubly funny to me since earlier he says he keeps a list of heroic speeches, so it is legitimately a new one because Goku's just, well... Goku

Kind of a small callback, but when we first met Frieza back when he, Zarbon, and Dodoria were murdering the villagers, Frieza had been counting the heroic speeches from the Namekian fighters when they stood up to him. But when Goku claims he's goona "Deck 'em in the schnoz." Frieza said that's a new one.

You would think that it was an exaggeration of how many times Vegeta gave a Super Saiyan speech, but no. He kept saying it to Freeza. Vegeta said it a lot in the original series.

I still can't get over how Frieza just ate Vegeta's Crab Spirit Animal, he was about to tell him how to "Mash up that Bomba Clad Frieza". It's just so random in the original series that he just eats a crab off his should, it's so good

Fun fact: Goku's healing pod was on the other side of the planet compared to where everyone was fighting. So during the split second where Frieza was about to kill Vegeta, Goku crossed half the planet before he could do so. He really isn't dealing with the average saiyan warrior anymore lol.

Infact: Vegeta really thought here, he was a Super Saiyan.. and it was still not enough for Freeza..that's why he cried. He was completly (mentally) broken. Goku time now !

In the original, after Vegeta dies, Goku starts to dig a shallow grave for him. Goku's friends couldn't believe their eyes, and asked him why do that for such a horrible guy, and Goku remarkably states that yes Vegeta was bad, but he wasn't in control of his own life, and that Freeza was the one who made him that way, and that Vegeta might have been a descent guy otherwise. In fact, the reason why Vegeta was crying, was because he wasn't able to escape Freezas control in the end. I found that tenderness and understanding toward Vegeta as something remarkable.

Don't feel to bad for Yamcha Ken. Out of all the Z fighters Yamcha actually abuses his superhuman powers to gain fame and fortune in Society. He probably has the most money right after Bulma, while Goku and the rest lives in shacks.

My favorite bit in this episode is "Ima deck you in the schnozz". Frieza has heard so many heroic speeches over the years that he's started counting each one, and Goku finally hit him with one he's never heard before

This arc is really really good but can you imagine that DBZA gets even better?
