I still love how Trunk's first impression of seeing 19's head was that it was a fat Chiaotzu, and I will always use Gero's "First: WHAT? Second: THE F*CK" It's so good And Piccolo and Nail's back and forth on attack names at the end of the episode are actual attacks from other anime "Wind Scar" from Inuyasha, "Spirit Gun" Yuyu Hakusho, "Bankai" Bleach, "Rasengan" Naruto, and "Gum Gum Pistol" One Piece

Main Timeline Bulma is just not good. She's supposed to be the smartest woman on the planet and makes worse mistakes than Chi Chi did when she slapped Buu. In my opinion, future timeline Bulma is WAY better.

Something her main timeline self she doesn't have to do as much when everyone she knows is still alive, super powerful and the wish granting magical orange orbs still exist. Technically Future Bulma is the actual original Bulma when you really think about it.

Windscar- Inuyasha Spirit Gun- Yu Yu Hakusho Bankai- Bleach Rasengan- Naruto Gum Gum Pistol- Onepiece I HIGHLY recommend Yu Yu Hakusho, its one of the best animes that still holds up all these years later and has some truly badass fights as well as best tournament in anime.

"Wind Scar" is from another anime called Inuyasha, "Spirit Gun" as pointed out is from an anime called Yu Yu Hakusho, and "Ban-Kai" is from yet another anime/manga called "Bleach". It's just nods to other contemporary shows etc.. :) There was one or two I did not recognize but I'm sure they are from..something.

9:47 Aye!!! Spirit Gun!!!! That's a move from Yu Yu Hakusho used by a character name Yusake! My first and favorite anime. It's one of the animes I recommend watching in English dub because the dialouge is just perfect! There's a character in the series name Hiei! He's like Vegeta, but to me he's much better. I know you two have a schedule, but hope in the future you do a reaction to Yu Yu Hakusho in English dub. It's slow at first, but it's one of the animes that has no fillers.

The Abridged really is a love story to the original series and there are so many inside jokes and tongue-in-cheek references that just won't resonate as well. That said, TFS' writing is great, and their editing really peaks along the way.
